Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I check over my notes.

"How long will the process take exactly?" I ask.

 

"Ideally, less than an hour. Sub-optimally, an hour and a half. Worst case scenario, it won't finish."

 

"And why would that happen?" I ask.

 

"If it goes wrong and it starts absorbing this reality."

 

"Ooooooooh. Shit." I say.

 

"Okay. You lead the way then."
He's ready.

 

"Good, you're awake now." She sighs.

Keela pads off, the rest of the pack scattering as you head deeper into the forest.

...After five minutes of searching, nothing.

 

"Well that seems like a pretty big issue," I say, "Honestly I've been evaluating how important Ihra actually is to us."

 

Emerald glances at you, worried.
"...You're considering ditching her?"

 

"The chances aren't high, but it's definitely an option I've considered. The risks seem pretty high, and I need to evaluate her worth compared to the worth of what's at risk," I say, "Of course, friendship and such has an extremely tight hold over her."

 

"It's quiet."
He sneaks closer too Keela.
"Think everyone is asleep?"

 

"That and you promised her mother that you killed you would see to it she has a good life." Emerald groans. "Plus, also consider your other friends. Ihra there, no deaths. Ihra gone, first Stephanie gets crushed and now Abigail."

"That'd make things easier, but no. It's just... empty."

 

"Ok, but is she worth the destruction of an entire reality and all of it's inhabitants?" I ask.

 

"She's the only thing known to be able to stop that from happening anyways... you think I just proposed you try something insanely risky without going over the possible negative outcomes?" Emerald asks, a tone of betrayal in her voice.

 

"For as omniscient as you are I'm going to say no, you didn't." I say.

 

She glares at you, then leaves without a word.

 

"What? I'm saying you didn't propose something risky without going over the outcomes! Or did you want me to think you did?" I shout.

 

"You're saying that there is no one here?"

 

"I know what you meant! Why don't you trust me with this?!" She shouts back, agitated.

"The pack's found nothing so far. Not a single scent trail."

 

"I do trust you! Why would I not trust you!? You're fucking omniscient!" I shout, frustrated and stressed.
