Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Emerald opens the doors, the 40-story library full of books as usual.
The front desk seems empty, though.
"Don't get lost." Emerald jokes.

Sgavrinn writes '2' in the dirt.

 

"Want me to lead you back to the place where we landed?"

 

He nods.

 

Maria looks around for a couple of interesting books to read, while Jennifer looks around the people in the library.

 

"Alright. Shall we go, or would you like to get some more rest?"

 

The people there include chimera, naga, draconians, kobold, and so on... they're all pretty absorbed into their books.

Maria finds that certain floors have certain languages, the chart near the stairwell.

Sgavrinn lays back down, yawning.

 

"Resting it is."
Bardock searches around for paper and something to write with.
"In the mean time... I'll write Ragnyon a letter."

 

Maria looks at the chart as Jennifer looks for any species visiting from her reality.

 

There's not really any paper in the middle of the forest... check Aurilon.

There are a few guardians and fewer shadows, but that's about it.

The chart has common tongue on fourth floor... shadow tongue on seventeenth... she doesn't recognize the other few hundred languages listed.

 

Maria heads to the fourth floor, Jennifer following and looking for a seat near a draconian.

 

He searches around in Aurilon.

 

She finds one next to a draconian making her skin tingle a bit.
"Hello, outsider." They whisper.

She finds everything from journals and essays to storybooks and textbooks.
There's an entire section dedicated to books meant to help teach someone to be multilingual... in every language contained in the library, if they desired.

By the time you get there, it's noon.
You find some paper and a broken inkwell in a demolished house, but not much else.

 

"Hey." Jennifer says, smiling at the draconian.

Maria picks out a couple of journals, taking them over to Jennifer.

 

"Other reality has succubi too?"

There's battle journals and travel journals.

 

"This will do. Now let's hurry back home."
Bardock rushes back home.

 

Sgavrinn's just waking up by now.
Maybe he can grow a flower that produces ink? The inkwell seems to never have been filled.

 

(Does an inkt flower even exist? Whatever)
"Hey, buddy. Think you could help me out?"
He shows Sgavrinn the empty inkwell.

 

"You have succubi here?" Jennifer asks, surprised.

Maria slides Jennifer a travel journal, sitting down next to her and opening her battle journal.

"You know what hell is, right? You should go pay it a visit. The queen might like to meet you."

The battle journal is a vague record of a guerilla division that fought in the capital of their enemies.

Sgavrinn nods, growing a small shrub with berries that leak a thick, black sap of sorts.
