"Well, what else is the size of a small city?"

 

"The Goddess of Space?" Maria suggests.

 

"Understood."
He looks at Sgavrinn.
"Now what to do with you? Don't you think Ragnyon needs you."

 

He hesitates before nodding.

"I don't know if that relationship would work."

 

"I heard she was in a complicated relationship with the God of Time." Jennifer says.

"Really? I didn't think they'd go well together." Maria admits.

The pair start gossiping about couples.

 

Xlentia exhales, pushing the duo out of her chambers.
"Can you take it outside? I'm tired." She grumbles.

 

"Well, I'll need some time to think about how I can make it, first. I've made stuff like this before, just not at that magnitude."

 

"Jeez, fine." Jennifer says, offended, crossing her arms and leaving with Maria.

 

Emerald trails them.
"She's pretty moody, sorry I didn't warn you. I'd expect your pay to be fifty pounds of solid gold starting, by the way."

 

"Really!?" Maria asks, shocked.

"S-Solid gold!?" Jennifer asks, just as shocked.

 

"Yep. Fifty pounds, solid. Starting."

 

"Maybe you should get going. You know the way back, right?"

 

"So what should we do beforehand?" Maria asks.

 

"Take a look at the library, watch a few battles in the training room, or take a stroll around the palace garden."

 

"We could see what's in the library." Jennifer suggests.

"Sure." Maria says, shrugging.

 

He shakes his head, then goes to scratching the ground.

He draws a tree, and an X through it, then some waves with a check mark next to it.

"Fair warning, the last outsider that visited passed out. If you like reading, you could spend multiple lifetimes in there."
Pause.
"Would you mind following me?" She says, heading down the hall.

 

The pair follow Emerald.

 

Emerald stops at another pair of double doors, after passing dozens of chimera and draconians.
"Inside is the library. If you damage books, you suffer for it. Small wear and tear is self-mended, but destruction makes me go after you. Is that clear?"

 

"You prefer the sea over the forest? Or do you only know the way over the sea?"

 

"Yes." Jennifer confirms, the pair adjusting their clothing.
