Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Is that a threat toward the king?" The other guard asks, serious.


"You mean this thing?" Jennifer asks, appearing to be with Maria and Mortius as she holds up Muffy's cage.

"I've just been hearing about the events that went on during your trip to hell." Praecantatia says.

"That friend of yours is a real piece of work!" Maria says, sounding annoyed, "He could've killed us!"

 

He just continues walking, trying to get home as fast as possible.
He keeps his hand near his weapons, just incase.

 

"Sure." Peridot shrugs.


Linoa nods.
"Muffy, I spend a decade training you and you go and cause that much trouble?!"
"Mrow..."
"No, you stay in there a while."

She turns to Maria.
"If Mortius didn't mess with his abilities to the extent he did, he may have. Peridot has no qualms with killing, and I wouldn't be surprised if he left no survivors, hold Mortius... but even then, I'd laugh if you all fell to him. He's nothing but a piece of old tech. There's so much stuff we have more advanced than him, we just keep him away from it to preserve his existence as a novelty."

Seems nothing wants to mess with a dragon.
...even your own pack doesn't dare show themselves.

 

(Well, I don't think they will attack someone that's with me)
"It's a little to quiet in the forest, must be because it's night time."

 

Sgavrinn nods, curling up around a tree and burying his head.

 

The guards glance at each other.

"Wait here, please." The first guard says, dashing inside the palace.

A lot more guards seem to have appeared around Peridot, these guards looking extremely strong with powerful weapons.


"I messed with no such abilities of his." Mortius says for everyone to hear, his voice cutting through the air like a sharp knife.

 

"Don't be scared, we're almost near my home. We can sleep there."

 

"I do not wish to harm Lady Tenebrae. Please stand down and relay the message."


"Are you not responsible for the nature of your realm?"

He decides to get up again, nervous.

 

"Just stay close. We'll be fine."
They continue walking into the forest.

 

Eventually, you get to where you know is your pack's territory.
Sgavrinn seems too tired to be scared.

 

"Ah. Home, sweet home."

 

Sgavrinn looks around.
None of your pack is in sight, and none of them approach you.

 

"They must be sleeping. So let's stay quiet."
Bardock continues walking, searching for their usual sleeping place.

 

Sgavrinn just lays down and falls asleep on the spot.

Your normal spot is vacant.

 

"Huh, that's odd.."
He walks back to Sgavrinn.
"Maybe I'll get some rest too."
He lays down close to Sgavrinn.

 

"Ahah, like we need the goddess for this." The guard says.

A short while later, Shadow Stephanie steps out of the palace with a calm expression on her face.


"Yes. Though I did not directly interfere with Peridot." Mortius says, his voice invading Linoa's very thoughts as his voice seems to only be heard by her.

 

Sgavrinn doesn't react, apparently very tired.
Sleeping on the ground takes a while, but you drift off eventually...

You're woken by a nudge.

Peridot just waits.


"But, isn't indirect interference still affecting his abilities, therefore you would in fact have messed with them?"

 

"Peridot," Shadow Stephanie says calmly, before turning serious, "For threatening the lives of the royalty, the realm stability, the lives of the inhabitants and the Goddess of the Realm of Shadows, I hereby banish you from the Realm of Shadows, never to return!"

Shadow Stephanie extends her hand, open, and runes begin to appear around Peridot. Peridot feels his connection to the Realm of Shadows itself starting to weaken and disconnect.


"Indirectly, but not with intent." Mortius says.

 

"I didn't know saying I don't want to harm your goddess counted as a threat." He says, before accelerating the process.


"But, you did. Those were the parameters of my query."

 

Soon, Peridot finds himself back in the void palace, though he can't seem to even locate the Realm of Shadows anymore.


"Then, I shall accept the fact I am indirectly responsible for 'messing' with Peridot's powers." Mortius says, before going silent, lifting a cup of tea up to his hood before putting it down again, the tea in it reduced.
