Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Peridot seems to be more than half as powerful as he should be.

"Looks like they're getting ready to fight Jennifer!" Maria announces happily.

 

Peridot tests the strength of the fabric of reality, looking to create a distortion blade in his hand as Muffy coughs up a rock.

 

For some reason, some kind of force prevents Peridot from altering the fabric of reality, almost as if he'd lost the ability to change it at all.

 

Peridot simply grabs Muffy and holds her upside down, expectant.
Muffy's doing her best not to throw up.

 

Meanwhile, I seem to have disappeared completely.

 

Peridot pays that no mind, starting to shake Muffy as she starts howling in annoyance.

 

Peridot is suddenly forced upwards as I jump up from below him, thrusting Shadow Katana through his underside before dashing backwards.

 

It doesn't even scratch his armor as he continues shaking Muffy, otherwise testing what abilities he retains after flipping off the skeletal figure.

 

I leap forth and slice through Peridot's arm, attempting to release Muffy in the process before jumping backwards again.

 

As we climb over the debris and remains I start to speak trying to break the rather awkward silence: "So ehm... what do you do for a living? There must be places to go that are far more interesting than this, there's barely anything left of it."

 

His armor's still too tough, Muffy spitting up a pencil at you.

Peridot looks at you, checking his power meters again while shaking Muffy harder, now howling louder.

"Nothing. I'm an exhile." She shrugs.

 

I stand ready, before suddenly appearing in front of Peridot and unleashing a flurry of powerful attacks on his shoulder.

 

He sends out a punch with the force of ten earth guardians, a sonic boom temporarily drowning out Muffy's objections.

She starts throwing up various chemicals, making a bit of a mess of the colloseum floor.

 

"Well, that certainly makes things more interesting. I, too am an exile of sorts, though you could say I banished myself. I can't just live with a past like mine, it seemed like the only solution." I say, reluctantly.

 

I manage to dodge it, appearing behind Peridot and thrusting Shadow Katana through his head.

The crowd doesn't seem to be very amused, a few people starting to throw things at Peridot.

 

"I'm a criminal fleeing execution."

It deflects off his armor, as he opts to throw Muffy to the side.
He tests out his offensive capabilities, checking if his handcannon functions.

 

The handcannon still functions, though not as powerful as he's used to.

"Talk about a boring fight Maria. I'm falling asleep here!" Jennifer says, yawning as some of the crowd laughs.

 

"Well... well... wel... you've really upped the game now, haven't you? What did you do? I've never supported the death sentence, such a pointless punishment. I can't believe people find it justified to just end someone's life, then again, I have quite the experience..."

 

"Give us our abilities if you want a damn fight!" Peridot shouts at the skeletal figure.

"I stole a bit of food for my child. He was executed, and I fled in shame after that."

 

The figure seems unmoved.

I slice downward on Peridot's head, pushing with as much force to try and cut through his armour.
