Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

(Yes, the actions still do count)

 

OOC: Exvhius says they don't. Besides, the Foam Dragon died anyway.
The bubble surrounding the 'arena' bursts finally. A beam of darkness goes through and straight into the water.
A figure wearing black robes and holding a dark tome flies down and lands in front of the group.
"Sorry I didn't come in sooner. Foam Dragon bubbles are strong and they tend to mess with most kinds of magic."

 

Noticing the beasts dead, Katie begins to drain the water from the battlefield.

"You know, you don't have to leave." Abigail says, sinking with the water.

"Well, I might not. Maybe something will happen that makes me st-" Katie pauses, eyes affixed on the bubble surrounding Artemis' forest.

"Oh no." Katie says.

I can be seen kneeling beside Artemis' body, blood staining the area, with a grim expression. Green orbs surround Artemis' body in a circle, singing can just about be heard from them.

"This can't be good." Abigail says.

 

Idala says, "Is she dead?"

 

Off in the distance, far from his home, Shadow is still on the hunt for the remaining Drakes, but to no avail...

*Soft chuckle*

"I'm surprised you haven't looked back behind you even once. You sure seem determined to find these little winged rodents." says an unknown figure

"Not the time, Alice. You know i've been trying to get these blighters contained for years. I don't want to have another.....incident......and be unable to help because i was too lazy, sittin on my arse doing nothing"

"Aw c'mon, lighten up for once" Alice says, drifting by Shadow nonchalantly, as if levitation were second nature to her
"You have plenty to do, you're just too thick to realize it. The last time was mere chance, Nobody knew the drakes were gnawing their way out of the cage"

"I knew. Thats the problem" Shadow muttered to himself

"You know i don't like it when you rant and ramble to yourself. If you have something to say, say it loud enough for me to hear."
"After all, we've been friends since...I honestly don't recall when." she said, in a mock pout.

 

Ihra chimes in, bitter.
"Not quite."

 

"If she were dead, there'd be a huge tree. She's just badly wounded, it seems." Abigail says.

All of the water finally drains, and Abigail's and Artemis' Forest's bubbles pop.

Abigail and Katie run over to where Artemis lies.

"Is she going to be alright?" Katie asks, concerned.

"One can only hope; she seems to be on the recovery." I say sadly. I hold Artemis' left hand, though her arm seems limp.

A ring of forest spirits circle above Artemis' body, humming. Artemis' seems to struggle to breathe, her breathing weak and slow; as well as saddening.

Katie puts her hands just above Artemis' wound, and it begins to clean; blood disappearing from the area.

"Stay in there, Flower Power." Abigail says, concerned.

 

A massive dragon wing flicks in and out of view.

Ihra starts a chant.

 

Aura finishes her meal and walks over to stand behind Idala solemnly.

 

A moss seems to grow from Artemis' wound, slowly replacing itself as Artemis' damaged organs and flesh. The forest spirits continue to hum.

"If you wanted...I could sing. It might help." Katie says, looking toward me.

I look up for a moment, "...Please." I say, sadness in my voice.

Katie begins to sing a tune, her beautiful voice almost intoxicating. She seems to weave it in with Ihra's chanting and the humming of the forest spirits.

 

Artemis' wounds close and her blood evaporates.
"Her blood is back in her system, purified... Give her a while to regain consciousness."

 

"Thanks, so much." I say sincerely, looking over Artemis.

Artemis' breathing seems to have returned to normal, and the moss is no longer present.

The forest spirits float up to Ihra, and hum a tune of appreciation. They form a circle, and a green glow appears in the center of it. After a short moment, a rather large cookie falls into Ihra's hands.

Katie stops singing, "You've done a great deed; and I'm unsure how we'll be able to repay you," Katie says, a dark portal opening behind her, "Unfortunately, I must leave for now; though not without giving a gift."

Katie pulls out a pair of ice-blue bracelets from her pocket, "I've heard you're not good with fire. Combined with Abigail's powers, these should make you completely immune." Katie says, smiling, handing Ihra the braclets.

"See you, Katie." Abigail says.

"If you need my help, don't be afraid to ask Stephanie; it's been nice seeing you." Katie says, picking up the Leoseal.

"Goodbye, Katie." I say, looking up slightly.

Katie steps through the dark portal; Leoseal in one hand, trident in the other. The portal closes behind her, leaving silence.

A few birds chirp in the trees, lightening the atmosphere a little.

 

"I save two of you and you attack me, but I save Artemis and that happens? I don't get it..."

 

OOC: The Leoseal is actually quite large. Like, size and weight of a car large.
Just waiting for a perfect moment to do something. No, it isn't another fight.

 

"I guess that's Katie for you." Abigail says, smiling slightly.

The forest spirits dissipate into the forest once more.

"I wonder how Artemis will react." I say, trying to lighten my mood.

A bird flutters between the trees overhead. Artemis sleeps peacefully on the mossy forest floor.

OOC: Let's just say the Leoseal followed Katie then.

 

"Maybe it was because of AJ. Rineth, remind me not to heal AJ next ti- uh...
...Rineth?"

 

"It probably wasn't because of me." I say, slightly annoyed.

Abigail looks around for Rineth too, her visor scanning the area.

 

I finally get up off the ground, and start walking over to the group.
"Hey."
I say, with a bit less energy then usual.
"Who are you looking for?"
I look around, seeing the absence of the Leoseal and Katie, and Artemis sleeping.
A bit of water mixed with blood is coming out of my eyes. I don't really seem to notice.

 

"Rineth; he seems to be missing," Abigail says, "Are you...crying?"

 

"Well, you stabbed me."

Abigail can't find Rineth, but Sgavrinn walks up to Artemis and sniffs her curiously, before humming a familiar melody.
