Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The forest guardians continue regardless, some of the water guardians trying to isolate the toxin.


The mage crystals Stephanie took out begin to spin rapidly, lighting up before Stephanie, Linoa and Crystal are teleported to the front of the gigantic tree in the centre. A few of the golems head into the through a doorway that looks specifically made for them.

 

Crystal quickly hops onto the staff.

 

After healing the gut wound a bit more, they stop making noticeable progress.


"Figured that'd work."

He's quickly flown to Stephanie and Linoa, almost losing balance due to the speed of the staff.

 

He shifts around it during he flight as to not go off.

 

"How are you feeling?" One of the air guardians asks.


Stephanie heads between two large tree roots, opening a hidden door in the tree which seems to lead to a small room.

 

He manages, but fortunately it's over in about a minute.

"Slightly better." They admit, poison still seeping out of their gut.


Linoa follows, glancing around as she goes.

 

He stays on the staff anyways.

 

The group looks at each other, the forest guardians giving an awkward shrug before the air and water guardians take their bubbles back to the ship.


The room isn't particularly big, but it can easily fit Stephanie, Linoa, Crystal, and a few other people. Stephanie slides open a wooden panel, revealing a keypad. Stephanie then puts her hand to her head and focuses, a transparent light purple hand appearing next to the keypad and rapidly pressing the keys on it.

 

Now curious, the draconian follows them partway.


"Bet that hasn't gotten hacked in ever." Linoa comments.

It flies low, keeping Crystal near the other two.

 

"Thank you. You're not that bad either, mister."

 

"Thanks. Sorry if I came off shady."

 

"You did a bit, yeah."
Bardock sits down. On the ground I guess.
"So, what's your name?"

 

"Siln. You?"

 

The group of guardians head back to the ship, getting back aboard as the ship begins to gain speed, having already been moving slowly.


Stephanie doesn't respond until the floor begins to descend, the room obviously an elevator.

"If you get it wrong, then it kills you. Apparently." Stephanie says.

 

"Bardock, pleasure to meet you."

 

The thing follows the ship, appearing on the map like a wake of smog.


"How comforting."

"Same. Where do you come from?"

 

Aquira continues to watch it, concerned slightly.


The elevator speeds up a bit as it descends, before stopping in a hallway underground, intertwined roots forming the walls and ceiling while the floor seems to be made of stone bricks.

Stephanie quickly rushes through what looks like a weak barrier, accessing a keypad and terminal on the other side of it.

"Wait there for a second." Stephanie says, a pair of the transparent purple hands working the keypad and terminal.

 

"Born in Aurilon, but mostly raised inside the nearby forest."
Pause.
"Not the easiest life, but you take what you can get."

 

It keeps trailing the ship.


Linoa holds still.

"You a shapeshifter?"

 

Aquira lets it as long as it doesn't come too close.


The barrier shimmers a bit, and Stephanie waves Linoa through.
