Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Crystal grabs her hand, shifting around it a bit.

 

The water guardian tries to dispel the pollutants a bit to see what's in the middle of it.


A light surrounds the trio, before Linoa can feel herself being lifted upwards, then rapidly flying up through the light.

 

They can only push them aside slightly, and inside is a draconian with a wide-open wound who quickly tries to hide themselves in the cloud once again.
"Leave me be, please... I promise I won't let my plague spread..."


Linoa keeps quiet, closing her eyes for a few seconds to help prevent nausea.

 

"Do you need help? We have healers aboard our ship." The water guardian asks.


Linoa and Crystal soon feel themselves touch grassy ground, and when Linoa opens her eyes, she sees she's on one of Praecantatia's floating islands, a light wind rippling the grassy meadow.

"Woah!"
Crystal remarks, looking around.

 

"That won't be enough, so I will ask again... please, leave me be."


She smiles.
"I guess this is what your home really is, then?"

 

Another Terrae appears up in the air and sends waves of pyroblasts throughout the arena, attempting to limit the draconian's movement.

 

2222 pages, hot damn.

 

The pillars explode into frags, providing cover as she manages to loose an arrow at the real you.

 

"Never played it. So lets give it a try."

 

Crystal can see what seems to be a gap at the edge of the island, a bridge connecting the one he's on to another island. Looking toward the middle, there appears to be an incredibly dense forest with a givantic tree in the very middle of it, stretching up massively high. A few large robotic-looking golems wander about, some picking a few flowers to look at before wandering on.

Stephanie nods happily.

 

Crystal trots around a bit, interested, but stays near Stephanie.

 

The grass feels soft, flowers releasing pollen and seeds into the cool air. One of the robotic golems wanders over to Crystal as he trots around, looking at him for a bit and making chime-like noises before wandering off again.

Crystal finds a massive footprint in the ground, some of the grass leaning inwards toward it. Whatever left the footprint must've been pretty massive.

 

Crystal looks at the footprints a bit more, making sure he's still near Stephanie.

 

There appears to be another footprint much further along, and comparing both, it seems the first footprint belongs to a right foot, while the second a left. The footprints seem to have a few odd stripes in them, like a shoe would make.

Stephanie's a short distance away, though Crystal will start to distance himself should he go much further.

 

The draconian soon lets the cloud part a bit.
"...Wait. I, uh... I'm not hurting anyone here... am I?" They shout through the water, uneasy.


"This takes 'private islands' to a whole new level." She chuckles. "I wouldn't mind meeting your mother, though... gods tend to be good with conversations."

The dragon slides dirt off a carved square with an inscribed circle before handing you a blue stone. It's flat on one end, and rounded everywhere else.

"So, the object of the game is to make a stone bounce off the middle and onto one of the corner areas. Take a step back, take turns tossing stones, and whoever manages to do that first wins.
Does that make any sense?"

 

Crystal doesn't go any farther.

 

"I think. How about you go first?"

 

"Sure."
The dragon takes a step back, then tosses a red stone. It lands in the middle of the circle, round side up.
"One other thing... if your throw misses the circle three times, you lose. If you need to, worry about keeping yourself in the game rather than winning."

 

"Okay, let's see."
Bardock takes a step back and tosses the blue stone towards the middle.
