Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Crystal nods.
"Let's go."

 

As you reach the mouth of the cave, you hear a crackling fire as a few other small feet scamper about, along with childlike laughter.

"No doubt."


Ruby dispells the clone that went upstairs, continuing to explore the lower floor of the palace.

Linoa offers Crystal up on her staff, smiling.
"Hopefully one of them's there. I forget they tend to be... not all that often in the palace."

 

Crystal takes the offer, getting up on the staff.
"Yeah, but we can still find them if they're not there."

 

"True. They'll know where he went, typically." Linoa says, getting on as well and flying through the portal.

Linoa and Crystal approach the Shadow Palace guards.
"Hey, do you know where Aj is at the moment?"

 

Crystal just stays on the staff, not saying anything.

 

"Don't tell me.."
He investigates the sounds.

 

"So...shall we do something together?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


There seems to be a glass window looking over what appears to be a rather large swimming pool not too far from the stairs, a few water guardians and Shadows swimming laps on one side while some young earth guardians seem to be practising holding their breath underwater, their father watching them from the edge of the pool.

"Unfortunately, we don't actually know with certainty where his majesty is. We saw him leave with Miss Stephanie, and when she returned she told us that his majesty had left to 'find Mortius in his own realm'." One of the guards says.

"It's not that we don't trust the queen's form, but we haven't been able to track the king at all. It's quite worrying." The other guard says.

 

As you enter, a dragon blocks the entry, calm.
"Oh, hello. I wasn't expecting visitors."
Two hatchlings can be seen chasing each other behind their mother.

"What do you have in mind?"


Ruby ignores them, moving on.


"I wouldn't worry about him. He's never really stayed in the same place as true danger."

 

Shadow Stephanie shrugs.


A bit further along there's a doorway with a sign next to it reading 'Spa and Massage Parlour', and another doorway opposite with a sign reading 'Gym'.


"True, but if he really went to see the God of Death in his own realm, that would mean he would be in hell itself. They don't take kindly to pretty much anyone there, belonging or not." The other guard says.

 

"Oh, I was just trying to kill some time by exploring the area. A friend told me this place would be a good start."

 

"Well, if you were to be taken on a date, where would you want it to be?"


Ruby peeks inside the Spa.
"...Excuse me?"


"Tenebrae would probably bitch at Mortius until she got her king back, if anything happened."

"Well... maybe you could hold off exploring my cave until my young hatch?" She asks, trying to stay calm but clearly a bit uncomfortable.

 

"Somewhere chosen by you." Shadow Stephanie says sweetly.


A woman at a reception desk looks up, her blue hair tied into a bun.

"Oh, hello! How can I help?" The woman asks, smiling.


"Hopefully." The first guard says, looking away.

 

Sivius thinks.
"Where have you never been before?"


"Hi, I was wondering if you knew how I could get out of here?" Ruby asks, nervously poking at her wrist to check if her body is still hollowed.


"Well... do you at least know where Stephanie is?"

 

"Uhhh..." Shadow Stephanie says, thinking.


"Oh, well if you just continue down the hallway around to the entrance to the throne room, the main exit to the gardens should be just in front of you." The woman says, smiling.

Ruby doesn't seem to be hollowed.


"The queen's form is currently in the dining hall." The other guard informs.

 

Sivius sighs.
"Is there anywhere you haven't been that you'd want to go to?"


"Okay, thanks." Ruby says, waving as she rushes off towards the throne room, still levitating.


"May we please go speak with her?"

 

"Where do you live?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


The throne room is a bit of a distance away, though it isn't hard for Ruby to get there.

As Ruby rushes to the throne room, she ends up bumping into an air guardian headed in the opposite direction, not paying attention and getting knocked down.

"Ouch." The air guardian says, rubbing his head.


"Certainly." The first guard says, her and her partner opening the gates.

 

"Technically, my old home is The Hive."


Ruby fires a small green pulse at them, nulling the discomfort.
"Sorry, in a hurry!" She says, continuing on.


Linoa pauses.
"And how would I get to the dining room, again?"

 

"Ah...right. Uh, how about..." Shadow Stephanie says, thinking, "A draconian restaurant?"


Ruby manages to make it to the throne room, the large doors looming overhead.


"Turn right when you enter, keep walking until you see the stylish double doors with the smell of food coming from them." The guard says.

 

"Turned into genetic splicing labs."


Ruby turns around, hoping to see the way out.


"Okay, thanks!"
Linoa flies through, following the given directions.

 

"Yes, ofcourse. I'll be leaving then."
Bardock apologises and leaves the cave.
