Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Shadow Stephanie looks around for Abigail.

 

"Why would you use a grinder? An implanted explosive would do the same thing."

After scanning every cryochamber, Abigail is either dead or still being worked on in the lab.
Avis starts squawking once she notices Shadow Stephanie, confused.

 

"An explosive also blows up. Being too close means that it's in your face."
Voidfiller summons the grinder weapon, something that looks like a crossbow mixed with a complicated contraption mixed with... well, a grinder.
"This things works fine for me."

 

Shadow Stephanie waves at Avis, smiling.

 

"Well... I suppose I criticized my handcannon when I first got it. Whatever works for you."

Curious, she shapeshifts into Shadow Stephanie.

 

Voidfiller smiles, and the weapon disappears.
"Did you need Crystal for something?"

 

"Not really, I was just wondering who you were." Linoa admits.

 

"Well, it's nice to meet you face-to-face."

 

"Same." Linoa nods.
Pause.
"Well, sorry to interrupt you two."

 

"No worries. We'll just get back to-"
Voidfiller pauses, as Crystal starts to stare at it, it staring back.

 

Linoa just turns and gives them space.

 

It's only a few more moments before Crystal runs up behind Linoa.
"Hey! What'dya gonna do?"

 

She hesitates.
"I'm going to go see if Aj got the last relic. We've gotta start breaking our way into the Hive."

 

"Can I come with?"

 

"I think I'll watch how you do your thing. See how it works."

 

"Don't you have a little catching up to do?"

"Pretty underwhelming, but if you say so." She says, handing you her staff. There's a fair bit of dried blood on it.
"Stereotypical crystal ball. Crystal ball plus fancy magic blood equals future vision."

 

He grabs the staff.
"Still, I want to see."

 

Shadow Stephanie pulls a stupid expression at Avis.

 

"I can do it later. Aren't you the one who said that we probably have forever to catch up with each other?"

 

The beam cuts through the pillar with ease and hits her.
