"Uhm... you can either sit with me while I bleed myself out, or I can have Sgavrinn fly you home once I get to my destination."

"Let me know when Xlentia leaves you a notice of impending erasure." Sivius chuckles.

Linoa steps up to Crystal and the shifting thing once there seems to be a pause.
"Hey... is now a bad time, Crystal?" She asks.

 

"I'm sure she'd love to erase the other half of what's keeping the Hive Master chilled out." Shadow Stephanie says flatly.

 

I trail Linoa, and as she speaks Crystal loses his focus on something.
"Oh, hey, Linoa!"
He says happily, and this makes the shifting thing notice, and it smiles.
"Hey Linoa."

 

"Don't let her catch you flipping that kind of attitude. She's childish to the point where she wants to be the best... yet godlike to the point where she can keep it that way." Sivius says, suddenly dead serious.

She hesitates.
"Who's your friend? I... don't recall meeting them."

 

"Does she want to be the best, like no-one ever was?" Shadow Stephanie asks, smirking.

 

"For the sake of our relationship, I will withhold my comments." He sighs, eyes narrowing.

 

"That's right."
The thing realizes.
"I didn't introduce myself yet."
"You have a lot of people to introduce yourself to, wouldn't it be easier just to do it all at once?"
"...I'd rather have them inquire by themselves rather than all calling them to some place."

 

"One at a time works for me. So... your name is?"

 

"Oh, come on Siv, lighten up." Shadow Stephanie says, lightly punching Sivius in the arm, no harm intent.

 

His robe is a bit more armored than it appeared, hurting Shadow Stephanie a bit.
"That's not my purpose in life. You'll have a shot at that when I've had a drink or two."

 

"What is your purpose then?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"My name's Voidfiller."
"He's my creator."
Crystal quickly mentions, happy.
"I still don't think that rolls off the tongue well."

 

"Stand for the forgotten, and see as many last wishes to come true as possible. I have yet to fail, but I know I have no room for error."

"A title should roll off the tongue, if anything. A name should be an identifier." Linoa says.
Pause.
"Wait... didn't you just ditch Crystal on an island or something?"

 

"That sounds pretty much the same as Mortius, the God of Death's job." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"The only difference is, I don't care whose time it is. If a wish screams for one to die, they will die."

 

"Well... not on an island."
"I was really upset, you know."
Crystal frowns.
"I know, I know, and I really am sorry."

 

"Well, you're both probably ageless, so you probably have plenty of time to make amends." Linoa comments.

 

"That's still sort of like Mortius. Besides, the only way you can die outside of your time is if you die unexpectedly, usually through some outside force. Every death you can die is generally one of your possible deaths that would count as your time. If you slice your neck open, it could be your time." Shadow Stephanie says, trying to explain as best she can.

 

"Sounds like a pitiable justification for murder, and an even more pitiable justification for necromancy." Sivius scoffs.

 

"Look I'm not a death guardian. I don't know these things. I'm just trying to adapt the vague information I've received from death guardians." Shadow Stephanie says bluntly.
