Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Has anyone ever destroyed a book accidentally?" Shadow Stephanie inquires.

"Really? Jeez. Where can I find him then?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Not accidentally. They're self-mending."

 

"Outside the cryostasis room in the Void Palace. He might not be there now, but he said to get there."

 

"Then how does anyone destroy them in the first place?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

"Alright, I'll go there now. Thanks, Thirteen." Shadow Stephanie says sincerely, smiling at you before heading out of her large doors, opening them with ease.

 

"The self-mending is small. If it's a small tear, fixed. Anything more than ripping a page out is too much."

 

"No problem."
I say, looking around the room a bit more before trailing her.

 

"Why don't you boost the books ability to mend themselves then?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

The room seems to contain a massive bed, a huge and powerful looking computer with a TV seeming to double as an actual TV and a monitor near to the bed, two doors either side of the room, one ajar which seems to lead into a bathroom, a large cozy looking fireplace near to the closed door and a window along the wall of the bed, showing a pleasant view of the outside of the palace.

Shadow Stephanie is hard to keep up with at normal walking speed considering her size; the hallways and seemingly most of the palace built to accommodate such sizes.

 

I opt to run fairly quickly to catch up with her.

 

It's not the quickest method, but you manage to always keep her in sight.

Shadow Stephanie finally changes to her smaller size once she reaches one of the palace elevators, heading into it.

 

I continuing to follow her, getting into the elevator as well.

 

Shadow Stephanie glances at you momentarily as she turns the dials.

"I'm guessing you want to head back to the void palace?" Shadow Stephanie asks before the pair of you are teleported to the portal room.

 

"Yeah."
I nod.
"If it doesn't end up being a problem, I'll probably follow you two anyways."
I admit.

 

"Yeah, if it isn't a problem." Shadow Stephanie says, typing commands into the terminal.

 

"I don't really want to invest that power into billions of books."

 

"I guess. Maybe you could up it whenever someone takes one out?" Shadow Stephanie suggests.

 

"Oh. Well.. I'm from the forest, near Aurilon."

 

"That'd require immense amounts of effort to maintain."

"What world?"

 

"Well, at least they can mend slightly, right?" Shadow Stephanie says, giving up.

 

I stay silent, waiting for the doors to open.

 

"Thanks for giving up, it was getting distracting."
