"i dont want you to be sad" Onyx says sadly, stopping her hug.

 

"I'll be happy in a week. I'll be able to go home and go back to making puppets and writing scripts for puppet shows." She says, also stopping.

 

Onyx purrs happily, changing back to her cat form before running back toward the house.

 

Sapphire warps out.

Emerald offers a telepathic link to Shadow Stephanie.

 

"Yo yo, what up." Shadow Stephanie asks casually.

 

"Did you hear the news about Abigail?" She asks, sounding a bit concerned.

 

"Yeah, Aj went off to do something about it though." Shadow Stephanie says, sounding chilled out.

 

"Well... I was able to find her backup data, and we're making progress again. I just... worry about Ihra."

 

"Why?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"I thought Ruby was hateful... but even if she didn't mean it, Abigail's hidden spite for Ihra is concerning."

 

"Oh please, Abigail has hidden spite for everyone. It's how she is," Shadow Stephanie says, "Everyone has parts of someone they don't like."

 

"That explains why Katie's mother thinks Abigail's a bad influence." She chuckles, though stressed.

Pause.
"Are you ever going to try and get back together with Sivius? Having him creeping about here in the palace isn't ideal."

 

"...I'm not sure. Things have been pretty awkward." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Yeah, but I'm not the one doing this."

 

"Well, I'm not sure if you care, but he says he's made up his mind. About what, not sure, but he just kind of blurted that out while thinking about you."

"I'm aware. I'm well aware."

 

"Oh...jeez, maybe I should go see him." Shadow Stephanie says, sounding slightly stressed.

 

"Just relaying information. Now, if you don't mind, I have to go play the mean librarian and go retrieve some long-overdue books."

 

"What's your fees like?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Oh, you are? Okay then."
Pause
"So... where are you from?"

 

"If Vei's Shatter is anything like what killed Abigail, I'll have no problem doing that."
I say, then continue to walk towards the library.
