Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Confused, I slowly and carefully dig a bit deeper to see if there's more respite.

 

"What is the most exciting book you have in the section on the fourth floor?"

 

There's a little more, but not much more.

"Exciting? Depends on your preference."

 

Surprised, I put the dirt back in the hole along with the coin, and start walking back towards the portal.

 

"Well, you know. A nice and touching story or legend."

 

You don't come across anyone else, aside from a bunch of less-dirty wrestling raptors.

"The most impactful stories are your own. Though, I may be able to find something."

 

I don't pay them any mind, walking through the portal and to the garden.

 

"Yes, please do."

 

Amethyst is seated in the middle of the garden.

She pauses.
"I dunno. I don't know what you like."

 

I walk up to her.
"Hey sorry about the wait"
I trace.

 

"Just, search a good legend or something. Not the one about the dragon and the knight though."

 

When Sapphire awakens, she finds herself in a snug double bed, warm sunlight leaking through a small gap in a pair of curtains in what seems to be a guest bedroom. A digital clock next to Sapphire reads 7:23, a light next to 'PM' absent.

 

"I just got out"

"Well, tell me what you like. I'm assuming vampires are a no."

She yawns, weary as she sits up.

 

There appears to be a steaming cup of coffee by the bed next to the digital clock, a light red crystal resting next to it radiating heat; presumably what kept the coffee hot.

 

Sapphire takes a sip before using a few threads to open the door to the room she's in.

 

"Oh
Well did it go well"

 

"Yeah
No more tracker"

 

"What about a hunters story or something?"

 

"Okay good
I guess
So what do you want to do"

 

The coffee isn't too strong, but isn't so weak it doesn't give a kick.

It's hard to see out the door from the perspective Sapphire's at, but it seems to lead out to the upstairs hallway.
