"Ehm.. okay."
Bardock opens the door(s).

 

Stephanie looks at her orb, curious.


I change my lower half into a fish tail, swimming after the silver orb as fast as I can.


Myria answers it, before looking confused.

"Artemis?" Myria asks.

"Mummy!" Artemis says cutely, reaching out for Myria who takes her.

"What happened?" Myria asks.

 

Inside is a colossal, 40-story library. Spiral staircase in the middle, and books as far as the eye can see.

It pulses gently, relaxing her.


You barely get it before... Ihra?
You wake with orb in hand.


"A fake Ihra nearly killed her. She reincarnated as... that." Rineth explains.

 

"Ohmygod."
Bardock looks amazed at the enormous inside.

 

"I hear that a lot." Ragnyon laughs. "You like it?"

 

"yeah..."
Pause.
"So, where to go?"

 

"Ask the librarian. Front desk, of course."

 

"Where can I find you when I want to go home?"

 

"Sgavrinn will wait at the entrance."

 

"So, I won't see you again?"

 

"Oh, I'll be here too, I just might be asleep."

 

"Aj?" Stephanie asks.

"Wha...?" I ask, coming to my senses.

"You've got an orb too?" Stephanie asks.

"Yeah, but I could've sworn I just saw Ihra just before I got it." I say.

"That wasn't Ihra if you saw her too. That was a fake version of her trying to kill us. I think we should leave." Stephanie says.

I open a large portal beneath Stephanie and I, the pair of us falling through before the portal swiftly closes.


"Oh, Artemis. You didn't properly finish healing." Myria says.

"I'm sorry mother." Artemis says with a sweet voice, sounding sad.

"It's alright," Myria says, sighing, "We can sort this out."

"Thanks for bringing her to me." Myria says before she goes to shut the door.

 

"Oh, okay. See you in a bit then."
Bardock walks towards a receptionist.
"Excuse me, ma'am/sir?"

 

I land near her, watching her disappear.

 

Rineth nods, leaving.

"H-hey... bad news, there was a saboteur in our machinery, and the Immortality Protocol doesn't work anymore... and Abigail died."

"I would like to visit the library. I'm here to register?"

 

I turn to him.
"Hey."

 

"Done. Books in common tongue are on the fourth floor." She says, not even making eye contact.

"Hi, robot. What happened here?"

 

"A-Abigail...is dead?" I ask, unbelieving.

 

"Thank you, ma'am."
Bardock heads to the fourth floor and looks through the bookshelfs.
