Emerald flies towards the entrance of the palace.

 

"What? When?" Shadow Stephanie asks, confused.

"I can't believe you, Stephanie." Artemis says, shaking her head.

"For shame." I say, crossing my arms.

"I don't remember killing any Matriarchs!" Shadow Stephanie says innocently.

 

I follow on the ground.

 

"ALRIGHT.."
He transforms back to normal.
"..looks like she's here too."
He continues to the place he was and collects some fruits.

 

"Mantis Matriarch. She said your invitation wound up putting her in a heart attack, fearing for her life. You even had a death guardian drag her off. I think Emerald had to go stop them from being buried, which would've suffocated them."

Sgavrinn sniffs at you, whining a bit.
"What... happened?" Ragnyon asks, uneasy.

Outside, she sets up a gel capsule, just like the one in the lab.
"You know the drill."

 

"Yep. Hold on."
I put Anmethyst down.
"Okay
Itll be removed"

 

"Where do I go"

"I still think you're clever for figuring out a way to communicate with her." Emerald comments.

 

"Its another gel tube
Just follow my lead carefully"
I start walking towards the tube slowly, holding her hand.
"Thanks. I still think it's pretty simple, but it took certain circumstances for me to figure it out."

 

Amethyst, mostly with your aid, gets in the tube.

"I'm assuming those circumstances involved Aj or someone else harming her?"

 

I let her hand go once she's in.
"It was Aj. He, a few other people, and I hurt her bad and screwed up her home. I stuck around 'cause Aj and his crew immediately left and I can't make portals. I chucked a tree in her home to check if she was still mad and she felt over the tree before ripping it to shreds. So, I wrote on the tree, she figured it out pretty quick, and after a bit of conversing and waiting you contacted me."
I explain.

 

"I see... You're more clever than most of us assumed at the start." Emerald says. "Perhaps it will be enough to get through the future battles."

 

"You're giving me more credit than I should have. Anybody with knowledge of blindness could've figured to do what I did."

 

"You underestimate unintelligence." She chuckles. "It's... disgustingly impressive, really."

 

"My underestimation or unintelligence in general?"

 

"Unintelligence in general. You'd be surprised how many idiots you can kill with a tripwire and a pointy stick."

 

"You can kill someone with anything. Just because someone's inattentive constantly or in certain situations does not make them dumb."

 

"Of course you can kill someone with anything. What makes them dumb is that it takes two simple items for them to kill themselves." Emerald groans.

 

"Once again, I think that's them being inattentive, but I also think that a librarian and a robot could argue about intellect all day, and I don't intend to do that."

 

I teleport behind him with a knife and thrust it into his back.

 

"Well, I'm waiting for a stupid tracker to get out of my sister's tail, and you're... well, hell if I ever know what you're doing."

He uses the knife to transfer himself into you, weakening your entire body in one last final attack... but after the fact, he seems utterly exhausted.

However, you too have troubles standing.
