Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Emerald only seems to be about a third of the way through the tunnel, though she eventually manages to see an icy cave ahead with the two people she's looking for inside.

 

She approaches the duo, cloaking in order of hoping to eavesdrop.

 

Voidfiller seems to lean towards the sparring before heading up the stairs.

 

Upstairs, Crystal seems to have been left to put away the weapons he'd sparred with.

 

"-ork to make amends? She seems nice." Emerald overhears.

"I-I don't know...Was I too mad at her? S-She really seemed to care about me..." Stephanie says.

"The longer you stay hidden away in here, the worse it's going to get." Shadow Stephanie says, seeming to glance in Emerald's direction.

 

Giving up, Emerald uncloaks.
"May I speak for Praecantatia? I met with her earlier to brief her."

 

Stephanie looks up for a moment, before looking away.

"Stephanie's been feeling bad about how she acted. I think she just had some pent up anger." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"It's okay... go back and hug it out. One of you had a rough childhood, and the other was forbidden from seeing the child. No-win there... but, if Ihra taught you anything, it's that even the most grave actions against others can lead to even stronger relationships. Just ask Aj..."

 

Crystal is busy putting them away as Voidfiller walks up to him.

Meanwhile, I start heading the the portal room to visit Amethyst.

 

Amethyst is visible from the portal, laying in the sunlight.

 

"I honestly don't understand Artemis' infatuation for him after he literally was the cause for her mother's death. I thought for the longest time she was just putting on an act to catch him in his weakest moment to take her revenge, but I've even asked her and she genuinely loves him." Shadow Stephanie says, shrugging.

 

"My point is... go ahead, Stephanie. There won't be hard feelings."

 

Stephanie wipes her nose, getting up and heading out of the tunnel.

"You two go ahead, I'll catch up." Shadow Stephanie says, heading toward what looks like the beginning of an icy slide in one of the walls of the cave.

 

Emerald follows, putting the front door back and reinforcing the wood she broke.

 

Stephanie heads out to Praecantatia, who seems to have joined the picnic to soothe herself. She gets up when she notices Stephanie, however.

"Stephanie, I just wanted to say tha-" Praecantatia starts to say as Stephanie approached, before stopping as Stephanie hugs her, grabbing her legs.

"I-I'm sorry, Mum." Stephanie apologises tearfully.

Praecantatia bends down and lifts Stephanie up in a more proper hug, the pair silent.

"Aww." Artemis says, smiling as she watches the scene.

 

Enerald puts everything she messed with in the house, back.
"This is Ihra-esque." Rineth chuckles.

 

"I'm sorry I wasn't there in your early life, Stephanie, but I want to be here for you now." Praecantatia says, hugging Stephanie.

"I love you, Mum." Stephanie says sincerely, hugging Praecantatia tighter.

 

"Ugh... Sgavrinn, please go to sleep."
Bardock says, half asleep.

 

Rineth smiles, silent as Emerald makes one last sweep to ensure she didn't inflict any lasting damage on the house.

Sgavrinn lets out a quiet whine, pointing his snout to the sun, already somewhat high in the sky.

 

The house seems to be mostly fine, Shadow Stephanie crawling out of the freezer.


Praecantatia sets Stephanie down, before taking a deep blue ring with a purple gem on it out of her pocket.

"I want you to have this, Stephanie, so you can come home any time you want." Praecantatia says, holding the ring out to Stephanie.

Stephanie smiles, accepting the ring and sliding it onto her ring finger on her right hand.

"This is cute." Angela comments happily.
