Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Understood."

 

There seems to be a door left open, though it's a narrow entryway.

"Finally, the prophet from many legends has returned. Perhaps she will allow you a glimpse into your future."

 

Voidfiller slips around to get to the door, peeking through.

 

Inside would seem to be Xlentia's vault... though guards are swarming inside.

 

"Looks like this is going to be a fun trip then."
Bardock lays down on his back

 

"Ah, that reminds me... are you taking the trip for pleasure, or are you one of the many who flocked to the prophet for a vision?" It asks, the few clouds visible with a slight tinge of orange as the day progresses.

 

"Well... When I finished todays duties, I decided to take a look at what's going on at the island. You know, the many trips going back and forth."

 

Voidfiller immediately ducks out and continues to search.

 

"Fair enough. Curiosity will only get you so far... I hope you'll be ready to pick a fight if you need. The prophet's friends are at war, and this is, in part, a bid for her to gain allies in her fight. I would stay wary."

The ground rumbles a bit suddenly, a loud crash audible as Xlentia's chamber doors fly open and strike the wall behind them.

Phyrr wakes up to the dead silence of the flooded ghost town, as per usual.
Nothing seems to be out of the norm, today, plus the weather's nice. Taking a book outside sounds like a good way to pass the day...

 

"I got my weapons with me just in case, but I'll be wary if you say so."

 

"I don't suspect there will be problems, but you never know. I've spoke with her already, and she seems nice. However, many people throw their morals away in war."

 

"I'll see when I get there."
Bardock starts to look at the midday sky.

 

The Leviathan falls silent for the rest of the trip, Bardock starting to drift off as the sound of the water rushing around the Leviathan and the wind puts him in a bit of a trance.

 

*yawn*
"Guess I'll rest a bit until we arrive at my destination."
Bardock closes his eyes and take a nap.

 

It seems like just a few minutes before Bardock is woken. It's sunset, though...
"Hey, we're here." The Leviathan says, already on the shore.

 

Startled, Voidfiller hugs the wall, camouflaging.

 

"Oh, we're here?"
He climbs of the back of the Leviathan.
"Will this cost me anything?"

 

"No, it won't. I'm not a very... material-driven creature."

As the rumbling slows, Xlentia walks by, looking smug with a gold coin in her mouth as she returns to her chambers.

 

Voidfiller makes sure Xlentia is still before continuing to search.

 

"Well, I'll be going then. Take care."
I start walking land inwards and wave the Leviathan goodbye.
