Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Thanks, but no thanks." He says. "Going to wait for Legna."

 

"A'ight."
Voidfiller doesn't seem to mind, and walks off, just taking a stroll towards anywhere but the exit.

 

As it goes, it notices a few draconians leaving one of the upside-down houses, simply following the path as gravity eventually rights itself in time for the stairwell.

 

Voidfiller examines it for a bit, but continues walking.

 

The pathway it took seems to loop around the marketplace. Still, the place seems eerily quiet for a town.

 

Near the market place, Voidfiller summons a rocking chair, and toys around with the new hourglass while waiting.

 

All there really is to do is turn it back and forth, the blood slowly warming up the glass as the wooden stand goes cold.

 

Voidfiller just waits, finding ways to entertain itself, with or without the hourglass.

 

Soon, Legna taps its shoulder.
"Head of Council said she wouldn't mind seeing you."

 

"Hm?"
It turns, then recognizes Legna.
"Oh, right."
It stands up, the chair disappearing.
"I'm ready."

 

She nods, spitting on the ground which cues a line leading to a specific building at the center of the... town... to appear at her feet.
"I kinda shirked my sentry duty, so I gotta go do that. That'll bring you to her office, though."

 

"A'ight. See you around?"
Voidfiller asks, already pointed toward where the trail's leading.

 

"Maybe." She says, appearing at the gate in a blur a second after she's done talking.

 

Voidfiller opts to follow the trail to the building.

 

The doors open automatically, the path bringing it past a large conference room (two members still whispering about the meeting, it seems) and up to a partially-open door.

 

Voidfiller creaks open the door a bit more, peeking inside.

 

A dark-scaled draconian holding a staff made out of tangled gears is paging through a book.
"An hourglass? Really?" She asks, glancing up at Voidfiller.

 

"What's wrong with an hourglass?"
Voidfiller enters.

 

"A bit pricey for a novelty item, no?"

 

Voidfiller shrugs.
"I have a lot of money and a lot of things I don't need to spend it on. So I spend it on other stuff."
