Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I do, but I barely got to see much of her. I had Gaia, the Goddess of Life, make me pregnant with a child. I didn't want to be with a human, but I wanted a child, a demigod. As soon as she was born though, Gaia and the other gods both said it'd be better to let her have a normal human life and to put her up for adoption on Earth, instead of myself raising her on my own planet. It was heartbreaking, but I let Gaia take her away to Earth so she could hopefully have a better, more normal life. I don't think growing up with a god's life would be very healthy anyway," Praecantatia says, lifing up her goggles and wiping her eyes, "I...haven't seen her since she was born, and she doesn't know anything about me."

 

"Was your friend here one of those telling you she'd be better off living a human life?"

 

"I didn't comment." Caelia states.

 

"Good, saves me getting bitchy at you." Milla grumbles.
"...Anyhow, thanks for the free stuff, sorry to hear that, yadda yadda yadda. Can I get back to my nap?"

 

"I didn't realise we were restricting you from it." Caelia states.

 

"You weren't, at first." She yawns.

 

Praecantatia takes out a small pouch and covers her mouth and nose, throwing it toward Milla. Once the pouch lands, it explodes into a heavy cloud of powder that makes Milla feel tired.

 

"Right."
Voidfiller smiles, nods, then walks away with the hourglass in hand.

 

It doesn't take long for her to fall asleep.

Iruk glances at it, walking with Voidfiller.
"Do you collect hourglasses or something?"

 

Voidfiller toys with it a little bit before making a small portal and carefully putting it away.
"No. But if I have gold, what's the point of just having it? Especially when you can just create basic things as opposed to buying them."

 

"I guess that makes sense..." Iruk says, trailing off a bit.

 

Voidfiller doesn't seem to mind, looking around to see what else there is.

 

Robes, a few fruits, and other figurines and crafts.

 

Voidfiller wanders over to the fruits, curious.

 

They're all small and round, the only differences being the color of the skin.

...The shopkeeper seems to be snacking on his stock.

 

Disinterested, Voidfiller looks around for anything that's not a shop.

 

There's a council hall, a housing block (with a few upside-down residences... upon closer inspection, it seems that half of the buildings are indeed built upside-down), and a couple other exits.

 

Voidfiller looks around for Iruk.

 

Iruk's standing near the edge of the marketplace, idle.

 

Voidfiller walks up to Iruk.
"Hey, I'm gonna walk around a bit, care to come with?"
