"Of course, sorry for keeping you. Come on, Praecantatia. Let's go explore a bit more." Caelia says, waving to Prime as she leaves the store with Praecantatia.

 

Prime vanishes as the pair feel a bit... watched.

 

Praecantatia looks around on other layers of reality for who may be observing the pair, summoning a metal human-looking golem in front of her. A pair of light blue orbs begin to orbit both Praecantatia and Caelia.

"I'm glad you're acting more mature, Praecantatia." Caelia compliments, noticing the orbs.

"I'm sorry I started to act so childish. You're right, we're goddesses. We need to act like them. Inventing magical items and devices is fun too." Praecantatia says, smiling.

 

A draconian seems to be laying on a roof, looking bored and just observing the two.

 

Praecantatia teleports up to the draconian, leaning over and looking down at them.

 

She doesn't look up, a few yellow threads laying around her.
"Good evening." She mumbles, bored.

 

"Evening. Why do you look so bored?" Praecantatia asks.

 

"Because I am." She says, finally bothering to glance up at Praecantatia.

 

"Don't you have anything to do?" Praecantatia asks.

 

"Watch you and the other lady argue. That's about it."

 

"How long have you been watching us?" Praecantatia asks, narrowing her eyes.

 

"Since you got here. I would suck at my job if I just started keeping tabs on you."
Pause.
"Name's Milla. City sentry."

 

"Oh, sorry, didn't realise that," Praecantatia says, summoning a pair of green-tinted sunglasses, "Here, these might help you with your job."

Praecantatia offers the sunglasses to Milla.

 

Milla takes the sunglasses, looking through them.

 

A light purple outline seems to surround Praecantatia, which becomes thicker with the word 'Lock' appearing beside her after Milla looks at her for a second. Looking out toward the city, Milla can see outlines of people walking around even behind buildings, each in their own colour. Looking at someone directly for a few seconds seems to make them more obvious with a 'lock' appearing beside them, while looking away for a bit disables it.

"They allow you to keep track of people and items through planes of reality, which means you can see them through walls and if they go invisible." Praecantatia explains happily.

 

"Thanks, that'll probably help me get a payraise." She says, holding on to them without actually wearing them.

 

"Well, I'll try to obey the rules of your city as best I can while I'm here." Praecantatia says happily, teleporting back to Caelia, who seems to have moved on from her previous location.

"I believe Lux wished to have another meeting soon." Caelia states once Praecantatia teleports over to her, walking toward the spire.

"I heard. He was concerned about his realms effect on other realities again wasn't he?" Praecantatia asks, walking beside Caelia.

"Indeed. He can't seem to keep his own children under control, even the one he lost." Caelia states.

"The one he lost?" Praecantatia asks.

"I'm surprised you didn't know. Temporus told me Tenebrae and Lux actually had a child of their own, a paradox child. Someone apparently erased him from the timeline though, along with everyone's memories of him." Caelia states.

"Wow...do they know?" Praecantatia asks.

"He thought it'd be best to let sleeping dogs lie for the time being." Caelia states.

"I...know how they'd feel. Losing a child." Praecantatia says sadly.

"Of course. I'm sorry about your situation with your child." Caelia states sympathetically, putting a hand on Praecantatia's shoulder.

"I'd love to just meet her one day, just so I can tell her I'm her real mother and see how she is...I guess it's best she doesn't know though." Praecantatia says, sighing.

"Is this one of the reasons for your more childlike demeanour as of late? You want to recreate what you don't have?" Caelia asks.

"I...guess so. I don't know. Can we change the subject?" Praecantatia asks.

Caelia nods, giving Praecantatia a gentle smile.

 

"Might not want to tell them who did the erasing... even though anyone who has any ability to reason can figure out that there's a single being who has the capability of erasure."

 

"Considering they're friends, telling them about it would be chaotic." Caelia states.

 

"That's putting it lightly. Still, I am curious... miss goggles, you said you had a kid?"
