Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"As of now they're still relatively near my fortress. They haven't gotten that far from when I first met them. Also, what will happen to me when we get there? As in a part of me is in this Uhm idol and the other is in my body. Oh, and they should be easy to spot, trees, giant void walker, occasional lava pool, etcetera."

 

"Yes, they should be fairly easy to spot."
We continue passing over the ocean. In the distance, you see that the coast has three different areas. One area is frozen, another volcanic and the final looks fairly normal. But that seems to be further away.
"Passing over Brisingr should be quicker. We'll go that way."

 

The forest spirits begin to surround Artemis, humming a tune.

Artemis' eyes crack open, she looks around, panicked, checking herself over. Artemis then gets up and runs over to me.

"Aj! Aj! It's not safe here!" Artemis says hastily.

I open my mouth to protest, before realising I'm in a forest, and Artemis is worried. "What's wrong?" I ask, trying to keep calm.

"It's Drake! He's alive, he somehow survived! I...I saw him whilst I was asleep, he's plotting to kill us!" Artemis says, scared.

"That bastard," I swear, "I knew he deserved what he got. We need to get out of here, hide out for a while. It's clearly not safe to stay around recognisable areas."

"He's planning to use our powers against us; he already knows about Abigail's weakness to water!" Artemis says, unable to calm her nerves.

"Hmph, he doesn't know everything. I know where we might be able to hide out for a while; it's a risk, but I know you can survive there." I say confidently.

"Grab Abigail and we can leave." I say, "Way ahead of you. I somehow knew he wasn't fully gone." Abigail says from behind me.

A hastily write a note to Ihra and Rineth explaining our absence before a dark portal opens up in front of us. The three of us step through and the portal closes behind us, leaving behind the note.

OOC: Also inadvertently explains my lack of activity for this week.

 

I remain silent, but I respond quickly, sounding alarmed. "Agh, somehow Artemis was able to sense my soul. The three of them are now gone, through a portal. I'm not sure where they went, but I think it's some kind of safe house." I sound extremely disappointed and angry. "I think Artemis wasn't JUST sleeping..."

 

"A pity... but still, that makes the others less in number and weaker. It will be easier to pick them off now that those three have gone."

 

"Very true." I continue to contemplate. "Actually, might I ask for your name? I'm Helianthus."

 

"Even though you turned from their side, I'd rather keep my name a secret for now... what did they call me... Terminator... In that case, you can refer to me as Terminator of Worlds."

 

"Nice to have you back, Abigail, considering somebody took you on their adventure." Stephanie says, glancing toward me.

"Thanks, Stephanie. We have a powerful demon of sorts who wants the three of us dead; he's plotting against us with our powers in mind." Abigail says, sipping her tea.

"It was idiotic of me to think he deserved any kind of mercy; he's corrupt all the way through." Artemis says with regret.

"Well, he knows relatively little about me at least. I've barely showed him anything yet." I say, trying to remain calm.

"Aj, please. If you really wanted him dead he wouldn't be troubling you right now. We both know that, because we're practically the same in power." Stephanie says, giving me a disappointed look.

"Well we can't just sit around drinking tea while he plans against us!" Artemis says, annoyed.

"Actually, that's one of the best things you can do. He knows of your powers, at least what you've showed him, correct?" Stephanie says, pouring herself another cup of tea.

"That's what Artemis said, at least." I say. Artemis nods.

Stephanie begins to discuss ways in which we can thrwart the plans against us. We listen intently; occassionally releasing information about the battle.

 

"I like your style. Also, I can elaborate on that name a little bit from what I heard. Apparently the Terminator is something from their world and is called 'Arnold'. I think I'll call you that for now."

OOC: Feels like. Flowey and Chara/Frisk moment in New Home where Frisk/Chara is walking and Flowey is telling him/her some stories and stuff. (Me obviously being Flowey)

OOC: Hahah, looks like I infected someone with the Tea addiction.

 

"Arnold... sure, sounds good enough for now."

 

I remain silent. "Agh, I can't track them. They may be in a whole new realm, because the last I saw of them, was them going through the portal." I contemplate for a while. "Arnold, can I ask you a favor? This has nothing to do with my grudge against the three."

 

"I'm not usually someone who does favours, but what is it?"

 

"Please, in case we have to kill Ihra, please don't force me to kill her. I swore everything on that back in my first form, and, unsurprisingly, my oaths transfer through forms."

 

"Maybe we should, just, not go back there. You know, go home, enjoy not being hunted..." I say, watching the TV.

"We can't. I'm involved with Ihra, we can't just abandon her and the others like that." Artemis says, turning to me.

"We're safe here, and at home, though. We can just kick back and watch Adventure Time without having to worry about some demon coming to kill us." Abigail says.

"If you're involved with this 'Ihra', you should go back there and fight that demon. He's turned on you, turned on Abigail, who says he won't turn on Ihra and the others? He's an unstable entity that needs to be erased." Stephanie says to us.

"Yeah, but...I don't really want to have to deal with him. We could just return to our normal lives and forget that it ever happened. Like turning off a game." I say.

"No, Stephanie makes a valid point. We can't watch a boy and his magic dog go on adventures while he slaughters everyone in his world." Abigail says, ironically watching Adventure Time as she says this.

"We need to reinforce our plan. Maybe even bring in some outside help." Artemis says.

"I'm not getting involved." Stephanie says immediately.

"I was thinking someone Abigail knows..." Artemis says, glancing at Abigail.

 

"As you wish. However, in the end, it is possible that neither of us will have to."

 

"I see." I respond, sounding quite pleased. I begin to start scanning as much as I can, looking out for the trio.

 

Something catches your eye in the distance. It's the three of us, standing around seemingly talking.

"OH BOY I SURE DO HOPE NOBODY STABS ME."

"THAT WOULD BE AN UNFORTUNATE THING TO HAPPEN."

"YES I SURE DO NOT WANT TO BE STABBED THROUGH MY HEART AND/OR NECK. I WOULD SURELY BE THE DEAD."

 

OOC: I'm assuming this is in the No Man's land, since if it wasn't, then the three of you would probably be shocked by Arnold.

"I CAN'T HOLD A KNIFE YOU IDIOTS! IM A FLOWER! STOP MOCKING ME!" I shout, sounding extremely pissed. Vines erupt from the ground, and they form a word by arranging themselves. The word spells out "NYEEEEHHHH"

 

I walk over to where you left the note.
I pick it up a read it out of curiosity, despite knowing what happened anyways.

 

You notice a note on my back, it reads: "This Shadow...is also a bomb!"

The three of us explode violently; my dummy sending out Shrapnel, Artemis sending out Acid and Abigail, Lava.

The note reads:
"Dear Rineth and Ihra,

Artemis, Abigail and I have evacuated to the Realm of Shadows for safety. Count Drake is not who he seems, and is planning to not only kill the three of us, but you two too. You need to get away from him, he's corrupt and will kill you if he has the chance; don't listen to whatever he says.

Artemis has reason to believe he's not alone, either. He's most likely recruiting allies to help him try and kill us, as well as you too. I don't know what he's planning exactly, only that it involves genocide and evil.

I sincerely hope you read this before it is too late; I fear I will either never return, or completely corrupt your world in an attempt to destroy Drake once and for all.

You may not recognise Drake at first, for he has been voided; most likely assuming another of his forms. Trust no new stranger; all I know is he's currently inhabiting a yellow flower like a cosplay obsessed dork.

I wish you both the best of luck fighting him should you encounter him, and if I do not return, I bid you farewell. You're two great beings, whom I shall miss greatly.
