Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I do as well, relaxing next to her.

The thing heads to the pet shop, and glancing inside out of curiosity.

 

A few birds fly overhead, but nothing else seems to be in the sky on an extremely clear day.


It's what it would expect; puppies, kittens, fish, and other common pets along with supplies needed to care for them.

 

"Maybe you were tricked?" I suggest.


Meanwhile...

A large, spherical, crystal eye appears in Xlentia's chamber, looking around.

 

Bored, it opts to stand in the line to check out the other bar in the center of the city.

 

"Unlikely, though if anyone was to manage it... the Hive Master would be the one to do it."


She puts her face up to the crystal eye, curious.

The line's hardly moving... it may be waiting quite a while.

 

It waits in the line anyways, mostly occupying itself with creating small figurines and making them fight.

 

An hour later, the line still extends off the road the bar is actually on...

 

"Being under the Hive Master's control was a possible theory I had for your change in personality." I say.


The crystal focuses on Xlentia for a moment, blinking somehow, before disappearing.

A large portal opens up near to Xlentia not long after the eye's disappearance, a pair of goddesses stepping through with familiar red-cog necklaces. One of the goddesses has vibrant yet dark purple hair extending just past her shoulders, a pair of purple tinted metal goggles in it, seeming to match the similar violet eyes of the goddess. She wears a dark blue shirt with a yellow moon symbol on it, with a pair of dark coloured trousers and black boots. The other goddess looks a lot more mysterious, a wide brimmed hat covering long black hair which has an almost green tint to it. Her eyes appear to be a deep green, and she wears a long dress which seems to be made of the stars themselves, shifting and moving like the dress is a window to space itself, the edges of the dress defined by a green tint. A pair of black high heels are worn around her feet, and she looks toward Xlentia.

"This is the place Grace told us to come to, right?" The first goddess asks.

"Must you use such childish names? We're goddesses, not infants." The second goddess says.

 

Noticing, the thing looks ahead to what the line is actually pointed to.

 

"Wait... you're telling me he got to me too? Damnit..."


Xlentia blinks a bit, confused as Emerald appears.
"They're Gaia's friend's, mistress." She sighs, not even looking up from the eight books she's writing in.
"...Oh. Hi, which gods are you?" Xlentia asks as Emerald vanishes again.

It is to the bar... it just wraps around reeeeally far.

 

"Praecantatia, Goddess of Magic, and this is Caelia, Goddess of Space." Praecantatia says, motioning to Caelia.

"We were advised by Gaia to visit you." Caelia says.

 

The thing just continues waiting.

 

"Yes, for exploration during the ceasefire. I figured you may want to explore my reality, since our paths seem to be crossing like warring blades. As for you, Praecantatia, my servant Emerald may be of interest to you if she isn't busy... or at least, not enough to hold a conversation." Xlentia suggests, pushing her chamber doors open.

The sun sets while it's still in line, some people moving those who have since fallen asleep aside.

 

"I shall go and see her, then." Praecantatia says.

"Thank you for your hospitality and trust." Caelia says, walking through the doors.

 

Xlentia nods, keeping an eye on the two as they leave.

Praecantatia seems to already have been given directions to the Archives, though Caelia is left to roam with only the location of the palace exit and the portal room given to her.

 

Caelia searches the palace for any training rooms where people may be fighting, while Praecantatia heads to the archives, deciding to change to a much smaller form as to not crush people once she arrives.

 

The thing seems drowsy, but continues to stand in line, waiting and messing around.

 

Praecantatia finds a paradoxically endless hall in the archives, Emerald levitating in the center as various relics and books move about.
"I assume she didn't send you here to discipline me."


She finds one, draconians fighting duels in various dome-bubbles that seem to reset all wounds and death that occur inside them.

By midnight, the line is still just as long, but it can see the bar.

 

"No, she more advised me to see you." Praecantatia says.


Caelia watches for a bit, evaluating the skill of the draconians.

 

"Well, if you are the goddess of magic, then I suppose it makes sense she pointed you my way."
Emerald turns to face her.
"Let's start with basics. I'm Emerald, head librarian and archivist. You are Praecantatia, alternate goddess of magic. Nice to meet you, same, et cetera. Now, where would you like to start?"


Some are more skilled than others, though those who are more refined fight at a level that could stall a god's assault.
