Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Lucky bitch." She chuckles. "I also would think I'd have remembered a love interest..."

"For obvious reasons
No"


Pause.
"Rings."

 

"I'd offer a meeting with her, but she's currently away on her own personal mission," I say, "Though if you can't remember someone you hated enough to kill, I don't see why you'd remember feelings of love."

 

"You don't hate enough to kill... hate comes long after they're gone."

 

"Not especially true." I say.

 

"I obviously have come to think that, but perhaps I will find your take more interesting than boring."

 

I smile, content.

 

Pause.
"How are you doing by the way
I didnt even ask you that"

The thing changes back to its default switching, and desummons the orb.
"Alright. Lemme just check that everything's there."
The thing opens up the box, looks over it from different angles, then closes the box and hands it to the elf, nodding.

 

Ruby pauses.
"I suppose, boring or not, you're going to need to catch me up on what the hell I missed."

"You think Id know"


"...Looks good to me."

 

"I could, but your siblings did seem interested in seeing you again." I say.

 

"Oh? How unlike them."

 

"Well, I'd assume they'd want to see you." I say, thinking.

 

"What makes you say that?"

 

"In this environment i mean
Like are you getting enough food"

"Alright, well, have a nice rest of the day."
The thing leaves the shop.
Opening the box reveals that all the rings are there, but there's also a pendant in the shape of a open chest inside, with a note attached to the back reading:
"A little something extra for your time - Im sure you can figure out what it does"

 

"One of them said to give you their regards, so I figured they at least didn't dislike you." I say.

 

"Probably"


The elf puts the box in a cupboard, locking it as he goes back to watch it leave.

"That's a polite way to say 'Come here so I can kick your ass' for draconians."

 

"Oh, well maybe we can hold off on the familial meetings." I say, laughing slightly.

 

"Please do." Ruby snickers.

 

"I guess you really are different though." I say, shrugging.

 

"Well thats good to know"
I don't seem to have much else to 'say'.

The thing just leaves, walking along more to see if there's anything else of interest.

 

"I still don't know what you mean by that. I... thought I drank the correct potion."

It seems she doesn't either, as she lays back down in the sun.


Nothing much, but an excited child makes their presence known as they leave the pet shop with a puppy.
