Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The ride is slow, but Alice eventually reaches the station. However, once at the station, she's greeted by a strange, large ant-eater like animal behind the station desk.

"Y'Right Miss? Come from that little town down there?" The animal asks, licking the air slightly.

 

They still don't return.

"Yes, I did." Alice says, opening her parasol.

 

The thing gets up, walking to the counter and looking for the barkeep.

 

There seems to be a shift change.

 

"I haven't seen ya around these parts before, but just so yer know, yer travel back is free." The animal says.

 

"Thanks for the notice. I moved in last week, I think. A week or two, nothing long."
Pause.
"Name's Alice, by the way. Nice to meet you."

 

"Nice ter meet you too, Alice. Have a good day." The animal says, looking happy.

 

"You too." Alice says, leaving the station and changing her robe with a much nicer looking one with the wave of a hand.

After that, she goes and looks around the town.

 

Deciding not to get fussy about it, the thing looks around, seeing if they have to get back in line to order a drink.

 

Its order is still posted on the wall, ten drinks crossed off.

 

It takes a better look at the order, looking at the names of the missing drinks.

 

They're all labelled "House Special" then a number 1-15.

 

It waits a bit to see if anyone comes by and looks at it.

 

Multiple workers do, but it still doesn't get tended to yet.

 

Peeved, the thing looks at the other orders on the wall.

 

There doesn't seem to be a town for a while, just large grassy meadows and hills. A wooden sign outside the station reads "Lapidarian Heights"

 

There's five others at least twice as long, and seventeen other smaller orders.

Alice enjoys the stroll, heading to the town.

 

The thing decides not to pressure the workers, and just find a way to order another drink.

 

One of them seems confused as they stop at its table.

 

It quickly heads back to its table, next to the person.
"Hey."
