Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The thing finds an empty table to sit at.

 

Marlon leaves, leaving footprints as he goes.

 

Alice waits for a while, letting the sun reach its peak so her parasol does a better job of protecting her.

Most people seem to avoid it if possible, but the bartender soon slides five drinks onto its table.
"Ten more coming."

 

"Right."
It nods and smiles, looking at the drinks.

 

Nobody comes to see Alice, but she can see the Skyrail taking a few people across to the other station.

 

Alice heads over to the lake to check on Holly.

Three are transparent, the others are a light and dark amber color.

 

The thing takes one of the transparent ones, downing it.

 

Holly seems to have moved to the centre of the lake, some algae and lily pads around her.

 

Alice checks her vitals before going to the Skyrail station.

It's extremely strong.

 

The thing lets it sit for half a minute before downing one of the colored ones.

 

Holly seems to be fine, albeit unconscious.


Gail's still working at the station, watching the view with her wings curled around her.

 

"Has April ridden the Skyrail yet since it was repaired?" Alice asks Gail, after a pause.

Less strong, and has a hint of a bit of sap flavoring. Bitter, but not unpleasantly so.

 

Remembering what that drink looked like, he downs another transparent one.

 

"She just went up on it not too long ago, actually." Gail says, smiling.

 

"Did she make it back here yet?" Alice asks.

Less strong and more watery, but the aftertaste is long lasting and just as tame as the taste.

 

It lets the aftertaste sit for a while before downing the third transparent drink.

 

It just seems to be spiked water.

 

A bit disgusted, the thing tries the final drink.

 

Tastes like a normal beer.

 

Gail shakes her head.
