Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Holly's fishing spear seems to be covered in slime and blood where Holly was unconscious, though it's been untouched.

 

Alice retrieves it, wiping most of the slime off before going back and laying it near the shore off to the side of the doctor and nurse.

The Maw seems to be smack in the center of town; it's busier, but it's a much larger place.

 

It checks if it can actually get through the entrance of this one.

 

There's an entire room that opens to the outside where there's no line at all.

 

"I think she'll be alright, I've given her some medicine that should help her recovery, she just needs some rest," Harvey says, turning to Alice, "I assume you'll be paying her fees?"

 

The thing tries getting in, looking around.

 

"Absolutely. How much?" She asks, summoning a coin bag.

It seems to be a game room, though everyone seems to be getting drunk before going in.

 

Looking around, it tries to make its way to the bar.

 

People seem to get a bit... violent when it tries to get past the line.

 

"The costs come to...three diamond." Harvey says, working things out in his head.

 

It grumbles a bit, standing in line and seeing how far it goes.

 

Alice tosses the bag.
"There's five diamond, keep the change." She says. "Thanks for your help."

It goes outside, but not as far and it's moving fairly fast.
Within minutes, it should be at the counter.

 

It waits a few more seconds before hesitantly tapping the shoulder of the person in front of it.
"Excuse me?"

 

Harvey nods, before heading back into town. Maru waves with a smile, following Harvey.

 

Alice waves, going home and making tea... again.

An elf turns around.
"Yes?"

 

"I was wondering what the currency used here is. I just realized I forgot to ask anyone."

 

"Gold works just about everywhere."

 

"Alright, thanks. I've just made it a habit of mine to check."

 

"Better safe than sorry."

 

The thing smiles.
"Yeah."
