Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Alice sighs, heading back up and waiting by the lake in town.

 

Holly is nowhere to be seen.

 

The supervisor nods.
"You failed the shapeshifter test yet didn't try to exploit your own abilities, though. So, I'll give you a choice. You can enter, or you can pardon Eran from his demotion."

Slightly concerned, Alice looks for Louis.

 

Louis is monitoring the centre of town near the shops.

 

Alice approaches him.
"Hey... have you seen Holly today?" She asks, somewhat concerned.

 

The thing thinks for a bit.
"...What's in there, again?"

 

"It's a city. What would you expect from a city?"

 

"Uh, I don't think so. Are you looking for her?" Louis asks.

 

"Yeah... I think I might have to go spelunking again. Good motivation not to go and get myself knocked out down there..."

 

"Those old mines can be dangerous. Keep yourself safe down there Alice." Louis says.

 

"I'm more dangerous than those mines ever were..." She sighs, heading back to the mines and taking the elevator down to the fifth floor.

 

The mines don't seem to have changed this time, the same as earlier.

 

"That's a fair point."
The thing continues thinking.
"Eran, what do you think?"

 

Alice busts up every rock telekinetically, using the low light of the mines to help her.

"...I'm not you." He says, a bit tense.

 

Alice eventually finds the ladder down, as well as a few lumps of coal and a small pile of copper ores.

 

Still collecting them as she goes, she descends and checks for any other monsters on the next floor down.

 

There are a few slimes, a patch of dirt probably containing another mole-like creature and a couple of insects flying about.

 

Alice throws a shockwave at the slimes, then throws a rock at the patch of dirt, minding the insects.

 

"Okay, that's not what I asked. Just because it's my decision doesn't make your opinion invalid."

 

The dirt just scuffs a little from the rock.
