Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well, I don't want to cause trouble, so I'll be going."
The thing starts to walk off.

 

"Give it an hour. I won't tell the next shift to be wary of you." They say, after hesitating. "Don't try and worm your way through their Q and A."

 

"M-Maybe to grow plants with?" Holly suggests.


Artemis just smiles.

"Xlentia, shall we continue?" Gaia asks, turning to Xlentia.

 

"There's a thriving garden below my house... maybe I'm meant to keep working those crops? I'm no guardian..."


"Yes, I... think I've had quite enough of scared mortals for a day." She says, sighing.

 

"The last person who lived in your house liked to farm crops there." Holly says.


Gaia changes back to her larger size, before hugging Xlentia.

"Mortals used to be scared of me before I could change my size to be smaller. Maybe we could just take you to Celeste and she could shrink you down?" Gaia suggests positively.

 

"Hmm... Interesting. I'll keep it up, then."


"I wish it would work that way. I already've thought of trying that." Brother warned me it'd kill me."

 

Holly smiles slightly.


"Well, maybe while you can't become smaller, I could tell the people you come across to not be scared of you?" Gaia suggests.

 

"Everything's lining up a hell of a lot better than it should be. Something's going on, and of course I want to figure it out." Alice mutters.


"That might help... I haven't needed to put any towns to sleep, so sure. That sounds like it should work."

 

"Maybe it's just coincidence?" Holly asks.


"Yay!" Gaia says happily before climbing back onto Xlentia.

 

"I'm going to not think about it right now and just ask the forest guardia- wait... aren't you part forest guardian?"


Xlentia gets ready to take off.
"Ready?"

 

"Um, yes. I'm a hybrid of water and forest." Holly says a little nervously.


"Yeah!" Gaia says happily.

 

"Do you know how to maintain soil?"


Xlentia pauses.
"Are you ready for the extra weight from me leaping?" She asks, unsure.

 

"Yes, it's quite easy actually." Holly says.


Gaia nods happily.

 

"Would you mind helping me from time to time?"


Xlentia leaps, soaring around randomly for a while.

 

"S-Sure!" Holly says, smiling.


Gaia screams with joy, laughing.

 

A spike suddenly shoots out of the ground below him, impaling his foot as I continue to blast water at him.

 

"Thanks! I, uh... I'm really sorry about the whole misunderstanding between us. I'd like to keep my kill count here at zero." Alice says. "The goddess of Shadows was nice enough to give me a second chance at life... but that comes with the racism that's over here too, I guess... not calling you a racist, it's just a shadow thing."


Xlentia smiles.
"Have you ever considered having me fly you over a different planet?"

Pained, he kicks off it before wrapping his chainblades around the handle of your scythe and swinging it at you.

 

"'Aight. Thanks."
The thing looks back and smiles before jogging off.

 

The guard just waves as it leaves.

 

The thing looks back and waves before completely disappearing into the forest.
