Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I like to imagine I'm a living creature."
The thing smiles.

 

"Are you armed?" She asks, stern face unchanging.

 

The thing thinks before answering.
"...Occasionally?"

 

"Oh, sure thing Sgavrinn! I'll be right over." Artemis says happily.

 

"Then it better not happen if I let you in."

"Yay! Alice made some from the flowers I grew, and it tastes just like them!" He says, distracted.

 

"I'm sure she makes tea as good as I do." Artemis says happily.

 

"Yours is still better... but mom's is even better!" He says, unaware that could be taken as an insult.

 

"You had me at 'let you in'."
The thing smiles.

 

"Mum's?" Artemis asks, confused.

 

"I will permit you to enter once. Harm anyone or pull out a weapon, and you will be leaving immediately."

"Myria." Sgavrinn reminds.

 

"Oh, well you don't need to refer to Myria as mother. You can just call her Myria!" Artemis says happily.

 

"Deal!"
The thing says, excited, before growing claws.
"These don't count, right? Sometimes I get claws by accident."

 

"Isn't she your mother?" Sgavrinn asks, confused.

"As long as they're not sharp." She says, winds growing violent nearby.

 

"Well, yes, but it's a little weird for you to call her that, don't you think?" Artemis asks.

 

"I'll try my best, I guess."
The thing turns its attention the the direction the winds are headed in.

 

"Why would it be? If I'm your pet, you're my owner and she's my mom!" Sgavrinn says, acting like his reasoning makes sense.

Everywhere, until a hole in the storm opens.
"Go. Do not infuriate mother."

 

"Well, no, she's not your mother. She's your owner too. Your mother would be the one who created you." Artemis says.

 

"Who's 'at?"
The thing asks quickly, drifting towards the opening.

 

"Ihra said she erased my memory of mother because it always made me sad."

"A goddess."

 

"I guess I'll figure it out then."
The thing finishes, then flies deeper into the hole.
