Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She sits down on a bench on the lower side of town, the young woman Alice saw teaching the children before eventually meeting her. The pair talk about nothing interesting; work, life, people and other subjects.

 

"O-okay..."
Crystal says, confused.

 

Alice slides out from behind, shadow travelling home.

"If it says do not mix, do not mix with your cat in proximity."

 

"You probably shouldn't mix it at all if it says 'don't mix'."
Crystal points out, looking for Muffy.

 

Muffy's sitting on the staff.
"Everything has those labels. Trial and error."

 

"Hm."
Crystal thinks.

 

"Though... a few of them are right."

 

Alice notices Gail entering her shack as she travels home, presumably getting ready for an evening at home.

 

"Yeah, clearly..."
Crystal says, still thinking.

 

Alice goes over and knocks on her door, glancing to make sure Sgavrinn's sleep is undisturbed.

"You wanna try sometime?"

 

Gail opens her door shortly after.

"Oh, hey." Gail says, smiling.

 

"Hi... I was wondering if you knew what gift Holly might like."

 

"Huh? Alchemy?"
Crystal asks, interested.

 

"Holly? Hm...Clint carved her a statue out of rubies she'd collected as a present for her birthday, so you might want to try something like that. She's a forest and water guardian hybrid, so you could try to appeal to either or both of those sides." Gail suggests.

 

"That sounds more like an Earth guardian thing to me." Alice says, thinking.
"...Thanks. I, uh... hope Sgavrinn didn't scare you. I didn't know people didn't like them here."

"Yeah." Linoa says.

 

"Clint's a previous fire and earth guardian hybrid who changed to an earth guardian. Holly said she finds ores and gems in the rivers near the mines and collects them; she usually gives them to people as gifts though," Gail explains, "Who's Sgavrinn?"

 

"The young dragon who came over to my house to visit. He's a gift... well, he's a pet that was a gift to one of my forest guardian friends."

 

"Oh, you're friends with a forest guardian?" Gail asks happily, smiling.

 

"Yes, and I hear her mother is a well known death guardian. Do the names Artemis or Myria sound familiar?"

 

"...No, I don't think I've heard of them. They sound like older names though." Gail admits.
