"...I mean, who knows? We might find something with that relic on the way."

 

"Ah, crap! I haven't even been scanning the area we fly over! Bah, I'll sweep back alone later..."

 

"Well, you were sleeping, you can't really blame that on yourself."

 

"I-I don't know, this seems a little dangerous." April says, scared.

 

"Fortunately, Sgavrinn is a nature dragon." Alice says, making a hand gesture that causes Sgavrinn to weave a vine harness around himself.

"I meant on the way out, but thanks for helping me find an excuse." Linoa chuckles.

 

"I mean, everyone has to rest, so it's a pretty fair excuse to me."

 

"I-I'm still not sure..." April says, nervous.

 

"It's okay. Maybe you can work your trust up with him? Or I could go get a different dragon that's easier to stay on top of." Alice offers. "I know, like, a good thousand would be willing to give you a flyover of the mountains."

Pause.
"...Do you have to rest?"

 

"T-Thousand!?" April asks, shocked.

 

"Yeah. In fact, I know a dragon goddess." Alice says, smirking.

 

Both teenagers seem equally terrified by Alice's statement.

 

Alice shrugs, petting Sgavrinn who grows and offers a flower to each of the two.

 

Crystal thinks for a few moments.
"...I would relax when something stressed me out, but other than that, not really."

 

"Guess that's the convenience of being a construct." Linoa says, thinking.

 

The pair nervously take the flowers, though both are still wary of Sgavrinn.

 

Sgavrinn wimpers before Alice dismisses him to her yard, where he turns on his back and sunbathes.

"I didn't know you were afraid of dragons, sorry." Alice admits.

 

"Yeah. It's pretty nice. But it gets boring sometimes when everyone else around you sleeps."

 

"I don't want to f-fall off of him either." April says.

"Yeah, we could die riding him." The blond haired teenager says.

 

"That's why I offered a harness, but you could always start by sitting on his back on the ground. Or offer him a bit of food, and that sucker'll love you as much as his owner. He's about as simple as a dragon can ever get."
