Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Alice goes back and spends the day at home, checking out her window at midnight.

 

Nothing visits Alice at night, though at midnight she can hear someone near her front door.

 

She opens it slowly, keeping quiet as she leaves. She locks the door behind her, which is the loudest noise she makes.

 

There's a trail of wet footprints leading away from her door, though they fade away the further they go. There's what looks to be a fishing spear with a golden head outside Alice's front door, another peace symbol on a piece of wet paper with bits of algae on it under it. Alice notices the letter 'H' engraved on the golden head of the fishing spear.

 

Alice takes the spear back with her as she goes to the river.

 

The river is lit up by the moonlight shining on the town, a nice perspective of the running water from the bridge leading to the museum. A few fish swim downstream; Alice could probably try spearing one.

 

She doesn't bother, laying the spear on the edge of the water as she sits, waiting.

 

There's a slight splash upstream from Alice, though nothing else really happens.

 

"Whaddya mean?"

 

She heads upstream a bit, taking the spear with her.

"You might not miss Ihra as much, but some people don't know her. So, they won't miss her."

 

"Yeah, I guess so."
Pause.
"So, how many relics are there?"

 

"Five, and they have four."

 

The ripples in the water indicate someone or something headed further upstream toward the lake, rather hastily. Unfortunately, the riverbank ends near the Lision store and it's opposing side, though there's some steps up to the pathway that leads past the community centre on the bank opposite to Lision.

 

"Woah, really? So you're looking for the last one."

 

Alice leaves the spear with another note;
"I do not want your weapons or jewels. If you cannot bring yourself to communicate, you do not truly want peace."

"Yeah."

 

Nobody comes to take the spear, at least not while Alice is around.

 

Alice leaves, heading down below her house.

 

The pond is still full, and a few crops are still about. The soil around the pond looks quite good for growing crops, which probably explains their presence in the first place.

Alice notices something in a patch of grass near the pond.

 

She heads over to the grass, curious.

 

"Cool! So... do you have any clue where it is?"
