Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Alright then
I know where you can go
Take my hand"
I trace, putting my hand next to hers and letting her take it.

 

She takes it uneasily.

 

I start walking, taking her to the Asimuul portal.

 

"Hey there, Alice!" A teenager with blond spiky hair says, smiling.

"So you're the new resident. It's nice to finally meet you." Another teenager says. He appears to be dressed in black, with straight black hair covering an eye.

 

"Nice to meet you too. My apologies for my rash approach; this is... far from the Realm of Shadows in almost every aspect." She admits, seeming rather happy.

She stumbles a bit en route, but otherwise follows just fine.

Once you get to the edge of the forest, she taps on your arm.
"How much farther
Im getting tired"

 

A girl with dark purple hair gets up from one of the sofas and walks over.

"Hey! I'm April, nice to meet you." April says, offering a handshake.

 

Alice accepts the handshake.
"Hi April, nice to meet you too!"
Pause.
"If you don't mind me asking, what parts of town would you suggest I explore? I haven't done much yet, and I figure nobody knows better than a local."

 

"Well, if you're brave enough, I'd highly suggest the mines up in the higher mountains near the lake. I've tried to go there myself, but...uh, I got a little spooked by the creatures down there." April suggests.

"I heard those mines are bottomless. Though nobodies been down them in years." The blond haired teenager says.

"You could always stop by the old Skyrail station. You might be able to help Gail out with fixing it." The teenager in black says.

"I miss going on rides across the mountains in that." April says sadly.

 

"Sounds like this place has seen better days, between the Skyrail and community center..." Alice says, thinking. "Would you mind filling me in on what happened?"

 

"With the community centre, people sort of stopped going. A lot of people just got distracted by the Lision place and went there to buy stuff instead of hanging out in the community centre." The blond haired teenager says.

"Mayor Louis locked the place up a while ago when Robin said it was too dangerous to stay in there." The teenager in black says.

"I can't remember what happened to the Skyrail. Gail said something was faulty one day, and the next it had completely broken." April says.

 

"I can confirm it's a mess in the community center." Alice says, before turning to April.
"What was the Skyrail like? I might be able to at least provide a short-term fix while I find someone who actually works in construction... I'm an ex-detective."

 

"It was sort of like a cable car system, but it could go a whole lot faster and gave really great views of the mountains." April says happily.

 

"Would Gail have a map of the routes? I've got something in mind, but it would need to be familiar with the routes."

 

"I think she did, but the one out from town just heads to the next station. Most of us just went to the other mountain and back." April says.

 

"Where might I find Gail? I think I can at least connect this place to the other station."

 

"She lives in her small shack near the Skyrail station, though she usually comes here at the weekends." The blond haired teenager says.

 

"Where's the Skyrail station? I figure she's the one to make the offer to."

 

"It's on the west side of town, on the pathway to your new place." The teenager in black says.

 

"Thanks. I think I'll go try to talk to her before it gets dark." Alice says. "Nice meeting you all!"

 

"See you!" April says happily, waving.
