Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

It appears to be visible, walking toward the corridor and entering one of the rooms.

 

Alice blinks into that room, taking a less physical form.

"Yeah."
Pause.
"Something bothering you?"

 

I stop walking.
"What made you ask that?"

 

There appears to be a light green faerie in the room, who flies away and disappears when she notices Alice.

A golden scroll lies on the floor of the room with writing on it.

 

"Random visits aren't like you."

Alice reads the scroll, curious.

 

"You're right."
I confirm honestly.

 

Alice...can't read the scroll. It appears to be written in a language she's never encountered before.

 

She copies its writing onto a summoned note, desummoning it and trying to pick up the scroll itself afterwards.

"So... is something wrong?"

 

"...I wouldn't say 'wrong'. Unnatural, certainly, but I guess it's how you look at it."

 

The scroll appears to be bound to the floor, Alice unable to pick it up. Alice does notice a picture of what looks like a tree on the scroll, the writing over it.

 

"Found another cursed preserver?"

Alice tries reaching out telepathically to Louis.
"Excuse me, mayor, but I found something that may be of interest. Would you mind returning and taking a look for yourself?"

 

"Oh, uh, what have you found?" Louis asks, a little surprised by the telepathy.

 

"If you mean one of Emerald's sisters, yeah, I found Amethyst."

 

"A golden scroll that's stuck to the floor. I can't read it, but I copied it in case I needed to show it to someone else. It has some kind of picture of a tree under the writing.

"Ohh. That's like the worst curse."

 

"Is it? Anyways, the point is that I helped her out instead of kicking the shit out of her which seemed to be the popular opinion before I acted."

 

"A...golden scroll? Hmm...that's very odd." Louis says.

 

"Mind coming and taking a look?" Alice asks again.

"Well, that's nice. Why was that not the popular opinion?"

 

"Aj wanted a stone she didn't know she had, and he didn't talk to her first to just see if he could take it, so he just beat her up."

 

"I'm a little busy right now, but I'll definitely check it out tomorrow. It certainly seems interesting." Louis says.

Alice feels another telepathic connection.

"Hey, is now a good time to come over?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"In case it isn't there, come over to my house and I'll show you the copied text." Alice says, heading for the door and grabbing her parasol.


"Just about, I'm heading back home. I need five minutes, but you're welcome to check out my place. I left some tea on the porch since the door's locked."
