Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Right."
I nod, then think.
"Can you at least fix her up?"

"Do you still want the tracker removed if youre going back"

 

Alice summons the mentioned amount of money, putting it on the counter.

"Yeah, of course."

"No since hell think I tried to turn"

 

"Thank you, Alice. Need a bag for all this tea?" Peter asks, accepting the money and putting it in the till.

 

"Alright
Ill tell them that"

"Alright, thanks. So, no tracker removal is needed."

 

"Yes, please." She says, glancing around for a clock.

"Alright. Get her in a vat and we'll have her fixed up in a couple hours."

 

I nod, smiling, then start leading Amethyst over to a vat.

 

There's a clock on the wall behind the counter. It appears to be 10 minutes to 2 o'clock.

Peter puts Alice's boxes of tea in a paper bag, handing them to Alice.

"Have a good day, Alice!" Peter says, smiling.

 

"Where am I going now"

"Thanks, you too!" She says happily, heading home to drop off the tea before heading to the community center.

 

"You need to go in a vat so they can work on you
Dont worry its safe"

 

"Whats in the vat"

 

I look towards one of the vats, seeing if there's anything in there and if I can identify it myself.

 

It just seems to be clear gel.

 

Sadly, as Alice approaches the community centre, she begins to notice the state it's actually in. From the outside, it looks rather old and run down, a few vines crawling up the outside, the windows on it boarded up, though even the boards seem to have fallen down.

"I see you've found the community centre," Louis' voice says from behind Alice, Louis walking over to Alice and standing beside her to look at the community centre, "It's a real shame what time has done to this place. I remember when it was so full of life, people would come to visit it every day, but now nobody seems to care. It's a relic of the past."

Louis sighs.

 

"Its some sort of clear gel
I dont really know what it actually is though"

 

"Relic of the past, huh?" Alice asks. "Heh... place isn't as old as I am, but I bet it can still get some use. Just'll need a little work."
She turns to Louis.
"What all used to be held here?"

"Oh that stuff
We never named it but it does a lot of things
Yeah okay help me in"

 

"Alright"
I lead her over to the vat, helping her inside.

 

"It's probably best I show you." Louis says, taking a key out of his pocket and heading up to the door of the community centre, unlocking it and opening it. Louis motions Alice inside.

 

Alice nods, following his lead.

It closes over her and the researcher starts to operate.
"She'll be fine. Try to keep track of time, we're too busy to send runners right now."

 

"Pardon?"
I ask, turning to the researcher.

 

"Keep track of time. She'll be done in two hours, but we're too busy to send anyone to notify you."
