Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I mean, if there's anything you want to do before the surgery, now's your chance." I say.

 

"Give a blood sample? That'd probably keep casualties to a minimum."

 

"Well, that was already going to happen, but I guess so." I say, shrugging.

 

"Right. Duh." She mumbles.
"No, I guess. I don't really do anything anyways outside the library."

 

"The void one or the one here?" I ask.

 

"I didn't know you had one here, the guards just laugh at me and never let me in half the time."

 

"Really? I'll have to speak to them about that..." I say, thinking.

 

"Oh, it's fine. It always used to be like that before... well... whatever the hell I went through happened."

 

"That sounds horrible." I say, surprised.

 

"Sucks being a cripple."

 

"I'll make sure there's some changes around here to how you're treated while you're in surgery." I say.

 

She nods, seeming a bit hurt by your words.
"Thanks."

 

"What's wrong?" I ask, concerned.

 

"Just personal issues." She says.

 

"What personal issues?" I ask, "I didn't mean to offend you or anything."

 

"I'd rather not talk about it right now." She sighs.

 

I pause for a bit.

"So...shall we head to the medical ward then?" I ask.

 

"...Sure." She nods.

 

"Can you walk on your own or do you need some help?" I ask.

 

"Help, as always."
