Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Sorry for the inconvenience!" They call back, waving.

 

I wave back as I head south, aiming to get back to the portal to get a better reference point.

 

Back at the portal, you've got the same deal - Cavernous mountains north and off to the east of the city, a beach northwest, a village and rolling hills southwest, and the rest of the forest and swamplands to the southeast.

 

I head toward the village in the southwest.

 

You're greeted at the gate by a werewolf, wyvern, lamia, and a human.
"What is your name and why do you seek entry?" The wyvern asks.
The werewolf seems to be eyeing you down, and the other two are just shooting nervous glances at the first two.

 

I don't bother to look at the werewolf, completely ignoring it.

"Aj, I'm searching for a friend." I say.

 

"Who's your friend?" The wyvern asks, werewolf backing off once they finish sizing you up.

 

"A Draconian." I say.

 

The human shapeshifts into a draconian.
"These? A few have passed by lately. Can you tell us their name?"

 

"Ragnyon. She's got shackles and stuff on." I say.

 

I let loose the three arrows, all of them flying towards the draconian. I quickly draw another arrow into my bow.

 

"To anyone? You just said it applied to many people."

"Do you think you could come closer so I can stop using trees"
"I think I made a clearing with the amount ive cut down"

 

"Everyone, sorry. It might not apply to everyone."

"Step so I can find you
I can only feel"
Amethyst moves towards the edge of the web.

 

"Oh, yeah. That's what I was thinking."

I take out my hammer and use the non-spiked end to smash the ground to notify Amethyst.

 

They flick their chainblades, the arrows all getting cut as they sidestep the debris.

"W-whoa..." The wyvern stutters.
"She said she was running from some kind of shadow being and asked us not to tell you her whereabouts." The lamia adds.

"There's always exceptions."

She moves to the point of impact.

 

"Yeah. I heard about a lot of places that didn't seem like they were dealing with much."

I move towards it as well, holding my hand out to stop her and let her know I'm there.

 

"Oh, very well then." I say, turning and leaving.

 

"And of course, we've got places that were completely destroyed."

When she bumps into it, she stops, scratching the ground a bit.

"I mean... she's kind of sacred to us."
"She said you were going to kill her."

 

"Yeah... all depends on where you are, huh."

I look at the scratches, seeing if they're words.

 

"She's wrong." I say, before going back to the portal, checking to make sure I'm not followed.
