Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yeah, no problem." Linoa says, smiling.

 

Crystal thinks for a few moments.
"Wanna go in that last portal?"

 

"Huh?"

 

"There's four portals in the portal room. I think I've been through three."

 

"Four? I though there was five." Linoa comments.

 

"Was there? I dunno. I just know I didn't go to all of them."

 

"There should've been five. One for each of the four worlds with relics, and the world you came from."

 

Crystal thinks.
"I don't remember seeing that one. Let's check."

 

Linoa heads for the door.

 

Crystal follows, anxious.

 

Linoa, once inside the portal room, points above the other four portals.
"Right there. Nameless thus far... but we're still searching for a fitting name."

 

"Oh. Huh."
Crystal looks at it for a bit.
"Where's it go, exactly?"

 

"We can meet up outside the city. Somewhere between ten and twelve." I say.

 

"Emerald said she opened it where it was, whatever that means."

"Right." Alice says, leaving Stephanie and heading towards the spire.

 

The group disappears in a flash of darkness.

 

Nothing to interrupt their rest, except for a note left just outside the throne room.

"Aj,
Thank you for your hospitality, but I must go. I hope we cross paths again soon."
It's unsigned.

 

I try to decipher the handwriting, attempting to figure out who wrote it.

 

The handwriting seems new. Whoever wrote it, this is the first time you've seen their writing.

 

I decide to head to the palace labs, approaching a scientist within.

"Hey, can you check this note for DNA traces or the like and try and figure out who wrote it?" I ask.

"Certainly, your highness," One of the scientists says, "I should have it ready by morning, so I suggest you go get some rest. You're looking quite tired."

"Alright, thanks." I say, leaving.

The scientist works on checking the note for any fingerprints, dead skin cells or any other signs of DNA, even checking the ink used.

 

Crystal thinks.
"Well, we did open a portal to get here..."

Meanwhile, I fly out of the city in the underworld, looking for the forest.
