Crystal shifts to increase his arm size, continuing to pull back.

I shrug.
"Just playing it safe."

 

"Think of their shadow body like Aj. He can hurt you, even if he remains a cloud of darkness. Except instead of cracking jokes using a katana, they crack skulls using sheer telekinetic power."

The string goes back a few more inches.

"Fair enough. Have a good day."

 

"Well actually, the cloud of darkness allows him to manifest wherever he wants, so he creates an arm to slice people with." Katie explains.

 

"This lady can slice people without needing to manifest in the first place."

 

"So just telekinesis?" Katie asks.

 

"Insanely strong telekinesis, but pretty much."

 

"So like a Shadow Earth Guardian?" Katie asks.

 

"With the magical prowess of, like, five Stephanies." Rineth says, nodding.

 

He aims it at a target and fires.

"You too."
I finally leave the shop.

 

He hits... everything but the target.
"Well... that was really fun to watch." Linoa comments.

Passersby seem to be steering clear from Rob's shop still.

 

"That sounds sort of like a well trained Shadow Earth Guardian." Katie says.

 

"Great. Now merge that thought with Ruby, because they fired an orbital strike from their face a little bit ago."

 

"Doesn't seem very good for hitting one thing."
Crystal puts the bow down and grabs a new one.

I fly up into the sky, looking around for Aj and his friends.

 

"Oh..." Katie says, seeming to lose hope.

 

"I mean, it would force them to stay smack in the middle or get shot." Linoa says, handing you a more compounded bow.

Still on a bench.

"Yeah... fun, right? So, their orbital face strike messed up my voidwalking abilities. You'll need to kill a little time to let the entropy of the blast die down."

 

"I mean, I was thinking more like if there was a group of people it'd hit probably a lot of them."
Crystal takes the bow, knocking another arrow.

"Hey."

 

Katie sighs, turning back to Angela who seems to be extremely scared by the description of the threat. Katie takes Angela's hand, before teleporting to the Shadow Realm with her.

"Got anything else that you need to do here?"
I ask.
"You've kind of been here for a while."

 

"We're really just waiting for 2am so we can get some info on the relic." Shadow Stephanie says, sounding bored.

"There's not much to really do." I say, laid back.

 

Alice also appears around this time, back in the underworld.
"My queen, do you know where your boyfriend is at this moment?"

"That too."
It's harder to pull back in the first place.
