Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

A basic bow without any compounding mechanism, a much heavier bow, an even heavier bow, a bow meant for firing multiple arrows, another that seems impractically large and has a scope, and other... more ridiculous things.
"I mean, I figured you could try them all at some point."

A day later, still nothing. People pass you by as if you aren't even there.

He eventually returns with the requested items.
"Ready, sir?"

 

The aound makes the pair jump, Katie and Angela looking for its source.

 

There's no windows, and no sign anything happened inside.
However, a lot of screaming suggests something's happening on the outside.

 

Worried, Katie heads down the staircase quickly, Angela following behind.

 

Murel's running back, barely stopping short of bashing into Katie again.
"Good, you're still here. Stay here." She half-shouts, lithifying both before running off.

It seems both stones have breathing holes, but breathing holes mean cracks, which means a way out...

 

Katie builds a larger, icy version of herself through the hole, using it to pick up her earthen prison and smashing it against the floor, before doing the same with Angela's

 

Murel can be seen glancing back as her helmet visor slams down.

"Shut up and go!" She yells, voice echoing throughout the entire palace... causing Angela's ears to ring.

 

Angela covers her ears, pained, while Katie just looks around for whatever is happening.

 

Another Archangel plows through the palace wall holding some odd bow-like weapon as two others carry in a stretcher, Murel heading up the rear.

"Move, out of the way!" She shouts, flaring up her axe as motivation.

 

Katie grabs Angela before running away from the archangels, staying out of the way.

 

They storm by, ground shaking as they run at a full sprint in full armor, somehow.

A minute later, Murel returns with her visor up.
"Sorry, that patient is... absolutely neccesary for diplomatic reasons. I didn't mean to be so harsh; I was hoping you'd just let me break you two out after we passed."

 

"Are they royalty?" Katie asks.

 

"Yes, but not ours."

 

"What was the screaming about? Is there a war going on?" Katie asks.

 

"Which screaming? Everyone says there's a 50-50 shot that any screaming anyone hears is me." Murel says, shifting about awkwardly.

 

"I heard a scream earlier, while I was still with Embers." Katie explains.

 

"Was it with a crash or with a shatter and a hum?" She asks.

 

"A crash." Katie says.

 

"Oh, some dimwit was on the opposite side of a wall we knocked down. He's probably fine, though I hope he's not right handed."

 

"Why?" Katie asks.
