Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Muffy grapples onto Crystal's face.

He takes it, insensitive to the heat as he heads into the back room, leaving you alone for a minute.

 

Crystal giggles a bit, sliding his eyes around to not get poked.

I wait.
It seems the the coin is a bit less than twenty grams.

 

Myria walks over to the stairs, checking for signs of life.

 

There's a guard running down, knocking the butt of their spear on each door as two other heavily armored "Archangels" leap off from higher floors in the tower.

Muffy climbs up the rest of the way on his head and starts cleaning herself.

They come back with another pouch.
"Nineteen and nine tenths." They say.

 

Myria looks for any signs of what could be considered a threat to the guards.

 

Crystal smiles and giggles more, before shifting back to a regular form, Muffy sitting on a platform on his shoulder.

"Was it? Hm."
I hold my hand out for the pouch.

 

Nothing nearby, though she has difficulty seeing much outside the palace, nonetheless outside the kingdom borders.

Muffy freezes up as Crystal shifts, uneasy.
What's taking Linoa so long...?

They give it to you.
"Don't burn through it all."

 

Not really caring, Crystal just pets Muffy.

"Right. Thanks."
I nod, smile, and leave.

 

Myria shakes her head, turning back to Katie and Angela.

"Was there anything else you needed me for?" Myria asks.

"I-I don't think so, we just needed your m-mind reading abilities." Angela says nervously.

"Very well, I shall return to the Realm of Shadows then," Myria says, opening a dark portal, "Oh, and Angela, there's no need to be so scared of me. I don't intend to kill you, your time is yet to come."

Myria gives a kind smile as she steps through the portal, albeit revealing her more fang-like teeth, which seems to scare Angela more.

 

Yyyyyyyyeahh... something tells me nobody's ever compiling this into a book.

Silence, then a sudden crashing sound.

Bored, Muffy tries spitting up broken pieces of things and pelts Crystal with them.

Still nobody outside, though you notice a few statues with attention-grabbing masks.

 

"Guh."
Crystal says, catching the things in his body.
"What is this stuff?"
Crystal looks at the broken things.

I look at the masks, approaching a bit more to see what they might be for.

 

Broken glass, a piece of a cauldron that probably broke from overheating, and a hairball.

They conceal gorgon statues, which turn out not to be statues as they blink periodically.

 

"Ew..."
Crystal drops the hairball, sticking with the other items.

I walk around a bit more, stalling time.

 

Muffy smirks before scratching her ear, Linoa finally coming back.
"Sorry I took so long. There were... a lot of bows." She says, dropping a dozen of different bows.

Nobody pays much attention to you, though you feel a few things shoot glances at you.

 

"Oh, yeah..."
Crystal agrees, looking at each one.

I just wait, biding out time.

 

I wait for him to come down.
