"T-they have... I-I just didn't want t-their stuff... J-just Liv's."

 

"I mean, I'd probably ask him a lot, but... I don't know where to start, really."

I approach the teller.
"You said I could exchange up to fifty grams, yes?"

 

"So you let yourself get to this state because Liv disappeared?" Myria asks.

 

Embers pauses before nodding sadly.

"Why not ask him why he never tried to reach out to you again?"

"A month, correct."

 

"Why?" Myria asks.

 

Embers doesn't respond.

 

"Was it to make a statement? Or are you dependant on Liv like a baby is to it's mother?" Myria asks.

 

"...I guess that'd be a way to start."
Pause.
"If I ever see him again."

"Excuse me for a second."
I say, exiting the bank and making sure nobody's around.

 

"I-I just miss her..."

 

"Why did you let yourself get to this state though?" Myria asks.

 

"Fair point..."

Nobody's around.

"I j-just miss her so much..."

 

"So you would let yourself starve because of it? If you are depressed, then I cannot condone your suicide." Myria says, turning serious.

 

Silence.
"Let's get back to... doing something."

Taking a coin, I take a second to measure it, then carefully burn off a bit, before entering the bank once again with part of a coin in hand.

 

"What's depressed?"

"Try a different kind of bow?"

"Mind me asking what that was about? The teller asks, suspicious.

 

"A mental illness that causes extreme sadness. I believe you are suffering from it if you miss Liv so much, and would rather starve because of it. What you are doing is incredibly foolish." Myria says.

 

"Sure, yeah. Let's do that."

"Just me making things easier."
I say, holding up the coin.
"Two thirds of a coin."

 

Embers keeps quiet, having conflicting emotions.

"I'll be back in a minute. Entertain Muffy, will you?" Linoa asks, walking off.
Muffy looks at Crystal, curious.
"Mrow."

The teller sighs.
"Well... you got me there." He says, holding his hand out.

 

Myria gets up, looking back at Katie and Angela.

"I suggest you regroup with Aj and my daughter. I've given you as much information as I can gather." Myria says, serious.

"Ok, thanks Myria!" Katie says happily.

 

Someone can be heard running down the stairs.

 

Crystal crouches and shifts down to look at Muffy.
"Hi."

"Careful, it's still pretty hot."
I say, handing the teller the coin, but letting them take it.
