Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Crystal aims for one of them, knocks an arrow and fires.

I take the pouch.
"I think I'm going to need a bit more than that, though."
I say, grabbing a lot more coins out of my bag and handing them to the teller.

 

It doesn't go far enough.

The teller seems shocked.
"Uh... I'm not so sure. That one coin was a month's salary for most. If you burn through that, then you can come back."

 

Crystal takes another arrow and pulls it back further this time, then fires.

"Really? Hm."
I say, putting back all but two coins.
"Just to be safe. If it's over what I need I can just buy more things."

 

He misses, but some kind of barrier keeps the arrow from falling on anything, instead slowly dropping it straight down at the ground.

"I'm only authorized to give up to fifty grams a transaction. One coin is thirty, and that'll get you quite a bit of luxuries." The teller says. "You can come back for more, though. That regulation is to prevent outsiders causing rapid inflation."

 

Taking another arrow, Crystal aims for a closer target and fires.

"Oh, alright. Makes sense."
I say, putting the coins back, and my bag back on my belt.
"Thank you."
I then say, starting to leave.

 

Another miss.
"Get used to the increased tension of the bow. You keep shaking."

"You're forgetting something." He says, holding up the bag of dust.

 

Crystal nods, taking another arrow, and steadying himself for half a minute before letting it go.

"Oh, right. Sorry."
I go back and take the bag before leaving.

 

Hit.
"Good job."

He waves as you leave.
"Have a nice day, sir."

 

Crystal repeats, aiming a bit more for the bullseye this time.

"You too."
I give a little wave back as I exit the building, making my way back to Rob's shop.

 

Still a bit shaky - hits the other side of the target.

Rob's working on the business end of your hammer, it seems.
"It's barely been ten minutes. Something wrong?" He asks, not waiting for your answer to pound at the metal some more.

 

Crystal repeats, adjusting and waiting a bit more until he gets the bullseye.

"Nothing wrong, persay, I'm just wondering how much this'll cost, due to the limits on how much currency I can trade."

 

It takes four more shots, but he hits it.
"Nice! Think you can make three bulls in a row?"

"Unwired heavy is seven grams." Rob says. "I forgot to ask, you going to use this as a polearm or do you want a shorter handle?"

 

"Maybe."
Crystal says, focusing, and firing another shot.

"Make it something inbetween."
I request.

 

I send a quick wave of electricity over the arena, attempting to probe for him.

 

Angela and Katie leave the waiting room, looking for the tower Murel could've been referring to.

 

Not quite a bull.
"Close. Since you're shapeshifting, try giving both arms a bit more bulk. You're still getting a bit shaky."

More scribbling.
"Alright, that's all I needed. That and two days."

He's everywhere, blades crashing down upon you as your body slowly stops responding to you.

"You never defined the seal. Full or half?" He asks, reforming from lingering sparks of electricity.

There seems to be a trail of dust leading somewhere. Maybe it'd be worth following?

 

The pair follow the dust trail, though Katie uses her double trident to keep herself balanced whilst walking.

 

It leads back to the tower (of stairs) the duo had slid down.

They can hear machinery working behind the walls, but that may be a sideshow.

 

The pair just wait, Katie forming a pair of ice chairs for herself and Angela to sit on.

 

"Yeah, okay."
Crystal nods, trying it out. His base becomes less thick as his arms become thicker, taking another arrow, focusing, and firing.

"Right. See you then."
I say, exiting the shop.
