Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"No, but speaking of powerful objects, someone in Maralune was wondering about your sword, Aj."
I say, turning to him.

 

"Really? Whom?" I ask.

 

"Guy named Leo. He said it 'talked' to him, for lack of a better word."

 

"I-It did?" I ask, sounding worried, summoning Shadow Katana to my hand and looking at it.

"Is everything ok, Aj?" Artemis asks, concerned.

"This isn't good." I say, serious.

 

"According to him, yeah, it did. It said something about a daughter and a relic, but not much else was clear."

 

"Could you excuse me for a moment?" I ask, before disappearing.

 

"Anyone know what that's about?"
I ask the group.

 

Everyone shrugs.

"I've heard of advanced magic bringing things to life that are sentient or can speak telepathically, but that's generally only with things that have previously been 'alive'. Something like the material that Aj's katana is made of has never been 'alive', as with metals and the like. It'd be nearly impossible to give it that sort of ability without godlike levels of power." Stephanie says.

"It's how I can so easily make clones of myself that can follow advanced commands or I can control. Wood has been alive before." Artemis comments.

 

"Well, if there's a problem, I hope he's able to settle it."

 

I appear a short while later.

"I don't think there's much to worry about. I should have seen daughters and relics as something much less worrying." I say happily.

 

I nod.
"What was that about?"

 

"Ah, it was nothing," I say, batting my hand, "A whole lot of misunderstanding."

 

"Misunderstanding?"
I ask, then think.
"You're not going to tell me even if I press further, huh."

 

"Trying to pry secrets out of Aj is like trying to win an argument with a rock." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Noted."
I nod.

 

"So has anything else interesting happened with you?" Stephanie asks.

 

"Not really, other than the fact that I got the news that Katie's in an emergency room."

 

"She is?" Artemis asks, surprised.

"What happened to her?" I ask.

"Is she going to be alright?" Stephanie asks, concerned.

 

"She was sliding down some stairs using ice, and a soldier with a shield was at the bottom."
I explain.

 

"Oosh, that sounds painful." Artemis says.

"How badly injured is she?" Stephanie asks.
