Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"A bow would be a decent start." Linoa says, the dome resetting.

 

The water starts to drain from the arena as I look around for Sivius.

 

He's... gone?
Suddenly, your entire body begins to unravel and you find yourself starting to seal. Sivius is still nowhere in sight.

 

"I-I-I g-guess that's n-normal." Angela says, clearly not in the calmest state.

Artemis is the first to notice your approach.

"Hey Thirteen!" Artemis says happily, waving.

"Sup dude." I say casually, glancing over at you.

 

"Hey, don't worry. You're fine, and Katie's going to be just fine, too. Though, uh... I've probably missed my rounds by now." Murel shrugs. "I'm gonna go ditch the armor and I'll be back to operate on your friend, sound good?"

 

"U-Uhm, o-okay." Angela says, worried.

 

As Murel leaves, a nurse approaches Angela with a cup of hot cocoa.
"She's a bit rash, but she means well." They reassure, offering the cup to Angela.

 

"T-Thank you." Angela says, nervously taking the cup and drinking the hot cocoa.

 

It's a bit weak, but it's at least a kind gesture.
"I gotta get back to work, but a few of us thought you were going to have a seizure or something. The surgery will be over in no time once Murel gets back, promise."

 

Angela nods, still scared.

 

The nurse leaves, Murel returning.
She rushes into the operating room, but it looked like her back had a huge metal implant or some sort.

 

Angela just tries to keep herself calm, looking around.

 

The waiting room has paintings of happy reunions and the smell of lilacs lingers, though there aren't any lilac bushes.

 

Angela just sips her hot cocoa, looking for anyone else in the waiting room.

 

There's only two other people; a human and some kind of unicorn-person (cornae).

 

Angela looks at the human, rather afraid of the cornae.

 

"Okay. Aren't there different types of bows? Which one should I start with?"

"Hey."
I smile, then look around.
"You'd think something with the name 'the underworld' refers to hell. This seems like a nice change of pace."

 

"It's pretty hellish with half-human spiders trying to eat you outside the city." Stephanie comments.

"Good thing Abigail isn't here. She'd probably be scared out of her mind from all the arachnids." Shadow Stephanie says.

"So how have you been?" Artemis asks, smiling.

 

"I've been good. Cleaning up stuff here and there around Maralune. What're you guys doing around here?"

 

"We're currently looking for a fire relic to get us one step closer to reviving Ihra. I hadn't realised the scales wouldn't be enough..." I say, disappointed.

"I honestly can't believe you didn't realise a pair of scales wouldn't be enough to revive Ihra. Just because getting them was annoying as all hell doesn't mean they're going to be powerful." Shadow Stephanie says.

"Have you found anything regarding relics or the like?" Artemis asks.
