Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I possess Idala, taking control of her.

"You...you can't exist!" Artemis shouts, stepping back.

"Permission to melt evil robot?" Abigail asks.

 

Possessing Idala, you suddenly start to realise the extent of Soul Magic... all those souls you can feel around you...
You can feel the presence of something far stronger than the other souls. It definitely isn't human and seems to be... some sort of demigod?

Eras says to Artemis, "Not in the same way, but I'm thinking the same thing..."

"You can melt me if you want... or rather... you can try..."

The robot-cyborg-Terminator-in-real-life-thing suddenly launches itself into the air. His/it's cylinder on his/it's arm starts to glow green.

 

"You know what? Bugger this." Abigail says, blasting possessed Idala and Artemis with blue fireballs, before creating a pool of lava at the bottom of the hole I created. Artemis jumps down the hole, whilst Abigail signals to me.

I jump down the hole using Idala, and Abigail follows, flipping the bird on both hands to the robot as she falls.

The pool of lava goes much deeper than the hole, and drags the three of us down deep into the ground.

 

OOC: Is your pool of lava area protected from teleports? I'm guessing yes, but just checking.

 

OOC: It's actually a large tunnel system leading to a safe area deep underground. I guess you could teleport there, but you'd need to know where it was.

 

OOC: Yeah, guess so. Still...

The reflection seems to be trying to take control more. It doesn't seem to want a Shadow sharing Idala.

 

I suppress the reflection's power, forcing my control.

Artemis, Abigail and I (as well as Idala) surface in another crystalline cave; this one a little larger with a few smaller cave passages.

"We should be safe down here, I don't think that terminator will be able to find us." Abigail says.

"Why did you take that girl with us, Aj?" Artemis asks, looking at Idala oddly.

"I was told to protect her," I say, "She has this malicious soul following her which possesses her sometimes; I'm simply forcing control."

"Seems oddly kind of you, Aj." Abigail says, smirking.

"Yes, because I'm some kind of evil shadow god who sends his minions to slaughter everyone around him and has no care for 'Kindness'." I say sarcastically.

 

Rineth watches it warily.
"Is... is it gonna kill me?" Ihra utters, trembling

 

Idala is now on the ground, gasping for breath.
The reflection is surprised by your strength but still tries to take control.
As this happens, you start seeing images, seemingly from the reflection.
You see innocents being slaughtered by an evil, humanoid creature.
You see the same creature. Twice. Both seem the same, except one is the previous one and the other is the current one.

It turns to Ihra and smiles evilly.

 

I suppress the reflection with even greater force.

"You haven't encountered a Shadow God before have you?" I say to the reflection, "We tend to have a lot of strength. A lot more strength than something as puny and worthless as you."

"I just realised something," Artemis says, "We left Ihra up there, with that killer robot."

"Hmm, I probably should've grabbed her..." Abigail says, regret in her voice.

"I'm worried...I'll see if she's ok." Artemis says, putting her hands to her head.

"Ihra, are you alright?" Artemis says telepathically, she seems worried, "Sorry we left you back there.".

 

She faints.
Rineth hides her in his mouth, growling.

No response.

 

"I think something is wrong, I can't get a response from her. We should go help her." Artemis says, clearly worried.

"Yes, let's go fight the terminator who's going to rip our heads off our bodies!" Abigail says sarcastically.

"Couldn't we just bring her down here with us?" I say.

"Problem with that is that I'll need quite a bit of magic to fully protect her from the magma, considering she's particularly weak. You seem to be rather occupied with that 'Malicious Soul'." Abigail says.

"We can't just leave her up there to die though!" Artemis says, frustrated.

"I'm sure Rineth has it covered." I say calmly.

Artemis walks a short distance away and sits down, putting her head in her hands, frustrated.

 

He resists, then walks directly behind you.

"I figure she'll be okay. I'll go on my own, but if you could tell me where it is, that'd be extremely helpful..."

 

"Ouch. And no, I have rarely encountered Shadows, especially in the past million years or so. A shame, the ones I did encounter were fun to play with."

The cyborg laughs evilly.
"I have to say, I've had more fun back in this world than I've had for years before. Interesting time to come here... can't remember what happened here before."
"I know what you're going to know now. You're going to die."
"You know you shouldn't try to kill me. You probably wouldn't be able to anyway."
"We'll see..."

 

"Did the Shadows you encounter, by any chance, have the ability to do this?" I say to the reflection.

I summon a rather large crystal in front of me, before possessing it; taking the reflection with me. I re-possess Idala, leaving the reflection within the crystal.

"Aj, maybe you could go check out Ihra whilst we keep the girl and her malicious spirit trapped down here?" Abigail says.

"I guess I could. Artemis, do you think you could make sure Idala doesn't move?" I say, turning to Artemis.

Artemis walks back, seeming to have calmed down a little. A wooden hand emerges from the ground, passing Artemis a wooden cup of Nature Elixir.

"Drink up." Artemis says, handing Idala the cup.

I cause Idala to drink the Nature Elixir, and Artemis wraps her in tight vines.

"I should be able to keep her stable for a bit; make sure Ihra's alright." Artemis says, putting Idala in a trance-like state.

I stop possessing Idala, appearing next to her. "I'll try my hand at fighting that terminator thing too, can't let him loose for too long." I say confidently.

"Don't get yourself killed." Abigail says.

"I'll be back." I say in an accented tone, before disappearing in a blast of darkness.

Artemis focuses on keeping Idala still.

 

The moment the reflection leaves Idala, she collapses to the floor.
"Hmm, interesting being inside a crystal. I've been inside lots of things, but this is actually a lot more comfortable. Must try this again some time... oh, how did I do that thing again..."
The crystal pulses with lines of purple.

 

Artemis helps Idala back up, "Are you alright?" She asks in a kind voice.

Abigail eyes the crystal suspiciously.


I appear next to Eras, "Where's Ihra, and what the hell is that robot?" I ask.

 

"It's just down the road, in a small building next to the main castle." He gestures back the way you came.

 

"Vei?"
"No, we can't. Rineth, be wary. We need to stop them."
"Wrigh. Gooh wukh."

"Okay, thanks. Again, sorry to cause all this fuss... I don't know how much longer I'm going to be alive to make up for things, though..."
I start towards what I was told where the healer is.

"My mowff" Rineth says, Ihra sleeping behind his teeth.

 

"Uh...do you want me to take her some place less...eaty?" I say, concerned, "I could take her underground with Artemis and Abigail; I'm sure she'd be a lot safer there."
