Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"It depends. You can keep going on adventures and quests to stop the Hive Master. Or, I guess if you really want to break my heart, you could go join him too. I'm trying to hold out as long as possible, and it's extremely difficult to keep myself and the other high gods safe with this armor. It forces the Hive Master to get up close and personal if he wants to mind control me again, but it also keeps me from knowing the status of my brother and the other high gods. I don't know how Gaia, Chronos, or O'rogal fare."

"The king? I thought he died of his illness."

 

"Oh. Wow. Well, I'm not going to join him, that's for sure."

"I guess he didn't. Last time I saw him, the queen had a black crystal in her hands, so my friend probably did something."

 

"Good. I don't know why he's so discontent with how the high gods have been running things, but... I don't seem as ridiculous for keeping a mortal army anymore. Now that I'm the only high god with an army at my command."

"The shadow and the reaper?"

 

"Really? How do the other protect themselves from big stuff?"

"Most likely the shadow, but yes."

 

"I...think we went...the wrong way..." Katie says between breaths, looking around.

 

A single candle on a stone desk fully lights the room, a crown sitting around an inkwell. A bookshelf has a few books and is otherwised stuffed with papers, charred to varying extents. The only other thing on the wall is a painting of a red-haired woman sitting on a throne with a dignified but casual dress and a fire-orange fox with a lighter colored and fluffy mane peeking out behind her.
The throne's different than the one below, but it still may be of Liv.

"We owe him as much as we hate him."

 

Angela gets up and tries touching the crown.

 

It's warm to the touch, but nothing happens.

 

Angela, smirking, tries putting the crown on.

 

It's super heavy, hurting a bit as she puts it on her head.
...it's also not her size.

 

Angela takes the crown off of her head while Katie looks around for clues on where to find the pet.

 

The only clue she has is outside; the bricks at the bottom of the tower spell out "N00F," and the marker just outside the room she's in says "N10F." Wait a minute...
...all those stairs just to reach the tenth floor? Where's the elevator?!

 

"Let's go try that other staircase." Katie says, heading to the staircase down, seeing if she can freeze the floor.

 

Crystal frowns, thinking.

I shrug.
"Not much we can do about it. Dude's pretty powerful."

 

She can make ice over the floor, but she can'f freeze the floor.

Xlentia just lays there.

"Indeed. His blade is definitely strange, though. It... spoke to me, I think."

 

"You'll be fine though, right?"
Crystal asks suddenly.

"It did? Elaborate."
I suggest.

 

Katie tries making an ice slide down the top part of the staircase, seeing if it would work.

 

"Then, I assume it will continue on till the end of time?" I say, as I swim towards Sivius clearly preparing to strike.

 

Xlentia smiles, but says nothing.

"Forced thoughts. Something about a daughter and a relic, but I couldn't remember much else clearly."

He seems to dissolve into the water, three more needles sticking into your bones.
"That's sooner than you may think."

Thankfully, she is able to make a slide down, but it's impossible to see if she was about to barrel into someone on the way down...

 

Katie calls Angela over, before getting her to hold onto her as she jumps onto the slide and starts sliding down the staircase, freezing the slide ahead of her as she goes.
