Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I told you, I don't know. You'll have to ask someone else."

 

"And if I fool you four times?" I ask, as several clones form all around the arena and start swimming towards Sivius.

 

"Then you've fooled yourself." He says, closing his eyes.

 

"W-Well, what were you p-planning to do?" Angela asks.

 

"Mostly nothing."

 

"Oh...well, I guess you could h-help me out then. J-Just try not to b-break the law too much, I d-don't want to get in m-more trouble." Angela says, scared.

 

"Oh, you won't. I just wish my partner wasn't so... horribly affected by the curse my siblings and I all have."

 

"C-Curse?" Angela asks nervously.

 

"I was bound to a body of darkness. Lady Tenebrae was kind enough to... liberate me. I died to her hands willingly, knowing I could be reborn free of the curse. However, my siblings aren't all as fortunate. Particularly... one that I sense nearby."

 

"W-Where?" Angela asks, looking around, scared.

 

Alice separates from Angela, pushing everyone towards Rineth.
"Get off the ground. I sense another sibling here. Below us. We're right over their trap."

 

Stephanie flies upwards, and I grab Artemis and Katie's ice cube before launching off of the ground, a large pair of Shadow Wings growing as my size increases with them. Shadow Stephanie flies off the ground, albeit not changing her size, before swooping down and grabbing Angela.

 

Alice flies up, Linoa taking Rineth's claw as they ascend and the ground falls out below the group, a massive web below.

Peridot seems to just be hovering above it, walking on air as if nothing happened.

 

Stephanie throws a wriggling golem down onto the web to see what happens.

 

It explodes into wooden splinters faster than anyone can react.

 

"Sweet catch, Alice." I compliment.

 

"I figured you weren't paying attention to... her... digging out the ground beneath you." Alice responds, looking at what seems to be a beheaded draconian. "Sister... what the hell did he do to you...?"

 

Angela, looking down at the beheaded draconian, throws up.

"Why is her head missing...?" Stephanie asks, concerned.

 

"That... is her curse. I told you, some are worse than others. She... Amethyst, was beheaded by Turquoise when we were trapped. That was supposed to save her from suffering... b-but she... she's..."
Alice seems speechless, getting emotional at seeing the horrid state her sister's in.

 

"We should put a jack o' lantern on her head so she doesn't look as horrific." I say, smiling.

Artemis gives me a flat stare.

"What?" I ask.

"Why was she trying to kill us?" Shadow Stephanie asks.
