Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

It's deflected, but again he doesn't appear to flinch.
"If you wish to study me beforehand, you should have said so." He comments.

The mouth doesn't open, the bottle breaking.

Suddenly, her broom is being yanked down towards the ground with a web.

 

Stephanie tries flying it upwards while casting some fire magic to burn the web.

 

The web burns easily, a pained growl heard from below as molten silk falls on what Stephanie can presume to be the half-spider.

 

Shadow Stephanie flies down to where the half-spider trying to grab Stephanie was, looking around for it.

 

It's in plain sight, repairing their web as they skitter about, weaving the silk with humanoid hands as arachnid legs carry them quickly around the web. They gasp when they notice Stephanie close, retreating out of sight.

 

Shadow Stephanie follows them, smirking as she increases her size and summons her dagger.

 

The half-spider retreats further, passing up a larger-than-human-sized teapot with a few oddly colored flower petals next to it, ashes visible in a small cave pocket next to the silkweb "table" it's on.

It seems to resemble a house, just... less homey.

 

"Wheeere aaare yoooou?" Shadow Stephanie asks in a disturbingly sweet, singsong voice.

 

Walking in further, the half-spider is up against a wall, eight eyes shut tight as she trembles, as if accepting death.

 

Shadow Stephanie laughs evilly.

"Did you really think you could try and capture my friend like that and get away with it?" Shadow Stephanie asks, "I know spiders love to torture and paralyse their prey, so why don't I do the same?"

Shadow Stephanie summons a highly toxic potion, as well as a strong paralysis potion and laces her dagger with it.

 

They shake their head profusely in denial, unable to talk.

 

Shadow Stephanie's clothing and hair seems to move slightly as there's a slight rush of air, and the half spider finds a fresh cut on themselves, the strong poison and paralysis coursing through their veins as they start to lose the ability to move.

"I'd say you got quite the unlucky break trying to capture a girl with a Shadow." Shadow Stephanie says, smirking, before leaving the half spider to die.

 

Linoa peeks in over the edge.
"You find a spider? How was the tea?"

 

"Killed it." Shadow Stephanie says flatly.

 

"Bitch. Did you at least leave the tea?"

 

"Don't call me a bitch, slut." Shadow Stephanie retorts.

 

"Still could afford to practice your retorts. Did you leave the tea or not?"

 

"What does it matter? Are you going to raid a dead spider's house?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"If you left the tea, hell yes." Linoa says, swooping down into the cavern.

 

Shadow Stephanie trails, invisible.
